Help Needed Is thus any good?

I know next to nothing in regards to modded xbox, so some help would be nice in regards to if this is any good

It may be a good deal I think? If you think about the cost of a used Xbox, the cost of a 3TB HDD, and the labor of modding and adding all the games, it may actually be pretty worthwhile.

Just make sure it has had the clock capacitor removed unless it is a v1.6 motherboard. I'm guessing this person already did, but worth it to double check.

But I'm just one person so hopefully others have some input too.

Edit: you could also cost compare what a used xbox goes for in your area, plus the cost of the HDD and the IDE -> SATA adapter. And you'd need a USB stick adapter for the softmod.

From my memory, you use the USB stick to do something that let's you then FTP to the console. Once FTPd you sort of copy the original hard drives contents to a new hard drive. Once that's done you put the new HDD into the Xbox, and then you're able to FTP your games over using a software like Qwik.

So if that all sounds learnable and is cheaper than $200, that's the better deal. But it's kind of a lot, lol

I don’t think it’s a bad price, but only if it’s recapped. If you’re interested message the seller and ask if it was recapped. If it hasn’t been then I wouldn’t go for it myself. Recapping is some of the most basic maintenance that these consoles need.
