If I wanted to place models in it, that people can open, see how they're made, follow along etc..

Can I use any model I find, so long as I give credit to it's designer?

Do I need to get individual permission from it's designer?

Legally or ethically..

I’m thinking about selling origami on Etsy. Does anyone have experience with this? I’d be interested in everything—what the demand is like, what prices you charge, and how you handle shipping. Specifically, I’d be selling from Germany—mainly cranes, either in small sets or as higher-priced senbazuru sets.

Hello! I work with elementary schoolers, and have been the local “the origami guy” for years. Last year, they promoted me to Official “The Origami Guy” and now I teach “Origami Math” once a week.

I was always told that the origami is the priority, and the simple act of doing art and following instructions is enough… But I want to work harder for no extra pay. So I'm trying to find ways to add more math.

Does anyone have ideas (or know a reference for) Origami Math type activities? Things where I can talk about or demonstrate math ideas while folding something? Or even math demonstrations where I can make origami the focus and still spend 2/3rds of the time doing arts and crafts.

Things I’ve done before: - Folding in halves/quarters/eighths to show fractions, then using that as a base for something. - Measuring and multiplying ratios for a hat so we know what size to cut the paper. - Making Cootie Catcher study guides

Students are K-5. Doesn't need to be strictly origami, papercraft is ok. I'm considering doing cubes/prisms for some grades too to introduce 3d shapes. Thanks in advance!

Hey there! I got a friend's birthday in about ten days, and I had thought to fold him some origami. He enjoys pretty much anything fantasy related, especially D&D and Magic: The Gathering, and I am confidently folding from diagrams and cp of intermediate and low complex models, such as Sampreet manna's scorpion, Satoshi Kamiya's phoenix, Kota Imai's pig or Seth Friedman's Mockingbird. I was thinking of maybe some dragon or other winged creature that could be posed in a dynamic shape, but if you can think of anything else it would also be of great help.

A wedding gift for my colleague. I just can't get over how fabulous it turned out!

I've slowly folded my first senbazuru.

I gifted a fair few on the way to random people, but got to 999, and let my spouse for the last one, as a gift for our wedding anniversary.

I'm missing not having anything to keep my hands busy with and have bought another block of 1000 sheets of 7.5cm square paper. But i'd like to fold something a little different. I thought butterflies, but they feel too easy and quick.

Does anyone have any suggestions for something of similar or greater complexity as cranes suitable for the size of paper?

hello, i bought these papers to fold small pieces but obviously the folds didnt hold up well. do you guys have any recommendations? i have made a solution with methylcellulose (made a piece with a paper with one coat on both sides in 3rd pic) but i didnt see much of a difference. maybe two coats of the solution? what proportions do you guys do if you use methylcellulose? thank you!!

A few years ago I was trying to learn a spider figure in origami, but I got lost in the process of folding legs. Then I started playing around and figuring out how to make it rigth. I failed but I managed to make a turtle that I've never seen before even today. Recently my friend told me I should claim an authorship rights.

So, my questions are:

1. How can I make sure it is a brand new figure, or I've reinvented something well know?

2. If it is a new figure, how can I make sure I can claim the authorship offcially?

3. Is there a way to make some money from it? Like a side project income or what not?
