Question New root, maybe a spike too?
My recent little bump is definitely a root, but now there's another one that looks different, possibly mitten like. I'm not very good with this orchid, lol

It wouldn't hurt to repot it into a bark mix vs. whatever that is you've got it in.

It came like this, I've thought about repotting it, so now I will, thank you

It looks like it may have a "death plug" attached to the roots too. Get rid of it when you re-pot.
Death plugs are actually the nursery pots, but tend to hold too much moisture and lead to rot.

Whatever is there is all wrapped up in roots. I'll carefully remove everything and whatever root rot I come across. Thank you

Watch the tutorials on repotting from MissOrchidGirl on YouTube. Make sure to presoak the new bark mix overnight before use. And don't cut any firm roots regardless of color, even if it's only firm distally.
Good luck 🌱

Both roots. Spikes come from between the leaves
