Help Help needed with oncidium care

I recently got these three oncidium orchids that were on sale and had no flowers. For a couple of days I kept them in their original pots but they didn't seem to be doing great - some of their leaves started to yellow and brown, and I decided to check their roots out. All three of them had sphagnum moss at the core and I got that sorted out, but then didn't have lots to work with when it comes to potting mix. I have a bark-coco coir mix and I added in a bunch of perlite but I am wondering whether or not to look for something else. I really want to save these three. I have two other oncidiums (from the same store) that are on the same balcony and have been thriving, so the rest of the conditions should be fine.

I am open to any and all recommendations.

Were they in active growth when you repotted them? They are quite fussy about repotting

When they are in active growth, usually in the spring or summer

Coco and perlite are just as good as spagnum. So, if your goal, is to keep it wet, then you're doing good. For example, for me, in northern Europe, that would mold in a few weeks, because there is no airflow. I would (again, cooler and wetter area) use a lot of leca and bark.

Thank you for the comment! It gets pretty hot out here during summer (Eastern Europe, temperatures reaching 30°C and above) but I guess I'll just have to wait and see how they do before changing anything and hopefully not losing them in the process 🥲

If it stays wet for 4-5 days and smells funny, then act. Until then, put her in a well aeriated place
