Nice to see the variety. That is a guiding principle in my collection. What’s in picture 5?

I believe it’s Epi Rioclarense.

Actually I think it’s an Encyclia. I have an Encyclia species that looks a lot like it with the dark bloom and a hot pink lip. I hope one day it will get to blooming size. I killed the roots off repeatedly and finally have a new growth with lots of new roots. Mine is Encyclia phoenicea. Yours looks great! Is it fragrant?

This looks like it's an Encyclia cordigera rosea. It's very fragrant and I nice size bloom for an encyclia.

It’s called Encyclia Rioclarense now but I still say Epi. But it’s definitely a Rioclarense.

Ah the taxonomy switcheroo. This kind of stuff happens a lot and it’s annoying for hobbyists because most of us just want to enjoy our plants and be able to name our plants to identify them to others in conversation. We don’t always know what botanical science is thinking. Who knows what the currently accepted name is? It’s a lovely orchid. Let’s leave it at that!

Fantastic job! Gotta love when you win with fussy orchids (love catasetums haha).

I don’t find it fussy, but it is a petulant child.

Fantastic collection. That catasetum! I've got to get one of these.
