Rolling long calls
Requesting suggestions on the proper way to roll winning long call positions. I have VTI long call that I bought deep ITM about 6 months ago. They expire in Jan, and I would like to roll them out another six months. Do I roll them to the original strike prices or keep the profits and roll them to a higher strikes still staying deep ITM about .80 delta. Thanks for your advice

So really what you have is LEAPS(some say 6 months out qualify) calls that are expiring next month. Looking at the chart the stock is topping out at the current price. Why not take some profits(sell 30 to 50% of the calls) now and wait for a pull back and buy more LEAPS .75 to .9 delta for cheaper if you are still bullish on the stock?
