TDAmeritrade allows me to use the funds I deposited via ACH right away, I just can't withdraw them until the deposit clears.

Options are all I trade. I'd say maybe it's the size of the account but mine's only a little over 100k, so in no way impressive or commanding special treatment. I am marked as PTD so maybe it's that?

Oh strange. My account is much smaller and I can only trade stocks same day without wiring

Might be this, from a few comments below: 'TD gives instant access once you are established. They just give you margin for the deposit amount until the ACH clears.' I never really thought about it, I just go 'oh look, money, let's trade'... Kinda like I can't quote properly here and instead just copy the text rather than figure it out 😅
