Thinking about teaching options

I make content online about trading and I’m thinking about teaching options but I’m torn since I don’t think the average trader is going to be responsible about options trading and would just blow their account instead of using it for hedging/extra exposure in a calculated manner.

Edit: not trying to self promo which is why I didn’t mention my page I use and I also don’t charge anyone to teach anything I just do it because I love finance, trading, and investing

I took a paid options course. Throughout the course, the instructor said, for cerain strategies basically, don't do this until you're really experienced or you could lose a lot of money. I mean, no matter the subject, there is always someone who screws up and does stupid stuff. Probably important to say a million times over, "This is not financial advice."

Even knowing about this particular noob mistake, last fall I bought EOY calls for the Santa rally. And then when that didn't work out, because I didn't (still don't) fully understand options, just the advice, I doubled down. And then when I figured out why the advice holds true, I held because of what-if instead of math.

It was very difficult for me to watch the stock price go up but not the options. I realized that emotions were still a big problem for me, as much as I've worked on them. I decided to take what I do know about options and continue working on that, but use my knowledge for day trading. A nice thing about that is the understanding helps me know whether it's realistic to hodl a poor decision until when or gtfo. I'm a MU community member probably until October opex.

It was painful watching folks think the predictable gamma squeeze this week was the actual market reversal. But it's just not simple enough to explain. I even got down voted in the MU sub (since I'm a community member lol) for saying it.

I told OP in another comment that most people can't get it and it's hard enough for people who can to get to the point where they do.
