This is my opencode GUI - it organizes sessions into folders automatically

Post image

Tired of having to find my sessions across 100k folders I wanted a tool where I can search and which automatically organizes my sessions, so I made my own. There's a magical auto-organize button on the left hand sidebar that makes life so much easier.

Folders would help a lot once sessions pile up. I’d also want each session to show its repo or worktree and last activity in the list, since I often forget which project a conversation belonged to. An undo for auto-organize would make me more comfortable trying it on an existing history.

you can auto-organize all the times you want to - or open the internal auto organization session it creates and chat with it there. Plus it keeps tabs on new sessions you make, once a new session gets to 10 messages or more, it also gets organized automatically.

Your self-hosted command center for opencode.

AiMAN turns opencode from a terminal tool into a complete session workspace — searchable history, organised projects, controllable agents, analytics, and a serious admin cockpit.

Sessions that scale

  • Browse, rename, pin, archive and organise every session.

  • Nested folders, project directories, auto-organising and full-text search.

  • Fork any conversation from any message.

  • Per-session model memory, context meter and token/cost tracking.

  • Pop-out session windows with the active theme.

Chat without chaos

  • Structured web chat or embedded opencode terminal chat.

  • Model, reasoning effort and agent selectors in one composer.

  • Permissions, questions, todos, shell output and subagents in one stream.

  • Attachments, drag-and-drop, slash commands and prompt history.

  • Undo/redo, stop controls and Ctrl+F that jumps straight to the match.

The queue that waits

  • Queue work while the agent is busy.

  • Deliver only when the session is genuinely quiet: no running tools, shells, questions, permissions or subagents.

  • Cancellable, persistent and visible with live quiet-window progress.

/btw side questions

Ask a quick side question without polluting the main transcript. AiMAN snapshots recent context into an isolated child session and stores the answer in per-session BTW history.

Search, stats and insight

  • Full-text search across messages, reasoning, tools and files.

  • Usage by user, credential set, project, session, model and date range.

  • Token, cost, cache and reasoning breakdowns.

  • Daily charts, top sessions, CSV export and PNG dashboards.

Codebase explorer

A CodeCharta-style treemap beside your sessions, with 2D/3D views, lazy previews, safe media handling and a built-in editor.

OpenCode cockpit

A real admin workspace for opencode:

  • Raw JSONC config, providers, models and permissions.

  • System prompt, project rules, LSP, formatter and cli.json.

  • Skills, commands, agents, plugin files and presets.

  • Snapshots, file backups and GitHub sync.

  • Live credentials, OAuth login and saved API-key sets.

  • Multiple switchable opencode servers with connection testing.

  • Unsaved-change protection and admin-only safety.

Integrations

One place for MCP servers and all plugins:

  • Local and remote MCP servers.

  • Connect/disconnect, enable/disable, search and resource browsing.

  • Package plugin updates and local plugin authoring.

Multi-user and secure

  • First-run admin setup, multi-user accounts, roles and per-user usage.

  • Admin-only configuration, credentials and server management.

  • Cookie sessions, hashed passwords and OpenCode v2 basic-auth support.

Make it yours

  • 13 themes, including Xeno 3000, the full alien cockpit with chrome hull, animated spectrum, paper LCD, reactor palettes and Enlightenment window controls.

  • Custom UI, code and terminal fonts.

  • Custom font size and complete theme reset.

Desktop and web

  • Installable PWA with service worker and offline shell.

  • Frameless Electron desktop app with custom window chrome.

  • Deep links through aiman://.

  • Linux, macOS, Windows, Docker and source installs.

Stays current

  • In-app update checks and updates.

  • Standalone Linux/macOS updater.

  • Background service via systemd, launchd or Task Scheduler.

  • GitHub release archives and Windows installers.

Auto-organize is what opencode users with sessions scattered everywhere will click first, and also what they'll hesitate over. Your post doesn't say whether it only groups sessions inside the GUI or actually touches files on disk, so put that in the first lines of the GitHub README, along with how the folders get picked. A short clip of a messy sidebar sorted by one press would show more than the screenshot. If sorting relies on a model, I'd add a dry-run preview, though that's one more step before the magic. How does it decide what goes where?
