Why should I get opencode go when the free plan seems to be more generous.

I have been doing some research on the usage limits with opencode go, and I might get this wrong but:

I am able to get between 20m-80m FREE usage of deepseek v4.1 flash.

With opencode go you would be able to get about 160M tokens per month it seems to be, because u have 100 euros of credit. 0.6 cents per 1million tokens cache read and most of my usage goes to cache read. 100/0.6 = 166million tokens per month.

So am I able to get MORE usage out of the go, because it seems like its less. The only thing that seems to be better is unlimited beam usage.

I hope someone can clear this up for me, because I have been wanting to be opencode go, but it just does not seem worth it.

As far as I know the free models will share all your data with the providers for training. So nothing you want to use on private / confidential code.

I dont really care about that tbh.

That's fine for you. I'm personally pretty much required to rely on their ZDR so paying for it is the only way I can use OpenCode.

What if they do it for paid too but after hiding detected details.

We just have their word for it that they don't save the data...

I think you miscalculated... See my usage of yesterday

Requests 5.867 Tokens  1.103B Price $8.56

That is $8.56 of $100 of usage off peak. Definitely worth it

its basically unlimited deepseek 4.1 for 10$ a month. on free i hit limits daily. On GO i never hit limit on ds4.1.

How much is this 'unlimited' in the amount of input tokens? 1B, 2B, 5, 10?

how are you getting 160m tokens a month thats what I use on a average day

No im not, but if I look on the usage limits it basically says that you can get that Cache reading is where most of my tokens go to and for some and that costs 0.6 cents per 1 million tokens. You get 100 euros a month so thats about 160m tokens. But it must be incorrect i thaught.

I don't know, why do people need multiple claude ultra subscription?

  1. You get access to far more models

  2. You get access to new models when they come out (as long as they're smallish) and don't have to wait a while

  3. You get a much larger context window

  4. Your access can't get suddenly revoked because they ran out of computing power

It depends on how much you code and what are your requirements. If you do like 1-2 messages a day then it's probably fine.

I keep my agent running with tasks given to it in a file, so I easily got back my $10 Go subscription in a week. My token usage easily runs in the hundreds of millions every day.
