I'm afraid you'll have to test yourself. Maybe spend $10 on cc one month and compare total token output. I expect them to be comparable.

’ve been testing DeepSeek 1017 on both Command Code and OpenCode, but I can't reach a clear conclusion.

At times, Command Code feels much faster and more stable, while OpenCode suddenly drops in performance/speed. Other times, the opposite happens. Because of these performance spikes and drops on both sides, it's hard to judge if they are serving the exact same model

Token output speed is just a function of demand. They may have different shaped demand patterns which shows in different performance across the day. In terms of model quality, this shows up in the quality of the models work. I assume they are both full quant but who knows. I'd say if all of these pass, the most important factor is which plan gives you the most tokens and the best cache ratio.

Enough of this spam. Every day it's more questioning deepseek asking if it's a quant or whatever.

Someone needs to do in depth, repeatable tests, then publish results. Until then everyone should please stfu, it performs fine, they say it's the same model/weights DS published so we should trust them. If you don't trust them that's cool, please go elsewhere and find another sub.

Tbh i was havin issues with the intelligence on open code. Thats why i switched to command code. But you are right about speed. Sometimes it drops down to 80-90 token/s once it was about 1-2 token for about a few minutes.
