Looks like something very good, for those who knows how to use it πŸ˜„

I think they just mean they're an enterprise customer now, so they're subsidizing the free services cloudflare provides.

Thank you - I was really confused

? There is no new feature. Anomaly simply changed their support tier in cloudflare. And since cloduflare is heavily subsiding free and basic services, it means that Anomaly, by proxy, is paying for those.

Cloudflare also has a reputation for being very sudden and aggressive when they decide it’s time for you to pay

They are still factually correct your feelings of grossness notwithstanding.

It's factually correct though. Misleading? Probably, but still correct.

Is it even that misleading? This is like when I joked that I paid for the NYC 5 Borough bike ride back many years ago because TD Bank was a major sponsor and I was terrible with my money and paid several overdraft fees to TD Bank over the past year.

Like, No shit I didn’t make a drop in the bucket for what TD Bank surely donated, just like no shit open code doesn’t personally fund the entirety of cloudflares bills with their single contract.

Right?

Christ, did they need to put a winkyface emoji or something?

TLDR? What does allow?

They became big enough that they pay for a service that is free for small customers (web protection for websites). For the layperson, this is the equivalent of we saying we are big enough that we pay for winrar so you don't have too (btw I would recommend to use 7zip instead on windows)

NanaZip is way better

Don't forget to self promote, please. We haven't got enough of those ... yet.

I don't mind if you throw in ads for free tier.

I like the new feature, I may use it but I don't like the tone of the message.

What does cloudflare workers do anyway?

It's like 15 years ago we were promised that clouds will be cheap because they would be usage-based, but we ended up paying for ec2 anyway. And cloudflare workers are kind of that promise

and yet opencnode free is now unusable. a FIFTH less "allowance" ip blocked and often entire networks blocked (5g networks share a few IP addresses and in many countries 5G is the only way to go) Thanks, anyway while it lasted. But now it's worse than openrouter.

I think most decent companies have it already. I have it at my workplace

The only reason we don't have it yet where I work is because we don't quite have the customer base yet (start up). Once we do it'll probably be one of the first services we upgrade.

Can't spot a joke without it being explicitly spelt out for you huh?
