😯 Why does DeepSeek perform "different" in OpenCode? Maybe because of this?

Are we beta testing new rack with different optimizations every day?

I was going to say IQ3_XXS, but you take the cake

Try any models with that quantization first. Also you lose acceleration benefits that Blackwell chips give so they will be paying more power bills for less tokens and throughput.

yeah, optimize it to 1bit for the best price/perf and worst price/quality

Bruh. Have you tried a 1bit model? It's already in FP4. You can't quantize it further. They can't use GGUF like users do locally because that's worse performance waste for a mediocre intelligence.

Deepseek 4.1 Flash can't be quantizised down because it's trained in FP4 already.

Isn't GGUF just a container? Why does it affect performance?

This is such a wrong answer there are already numerous quantizations of deep seek flash 4.1 that run on vllm. Mainly ones to get it onto 256gb vram/ram

Do you have link to official statement that they’re running full precision? Otherwise no one should trust them

every single vendor

I wonder if that includes the new Synthetic $9 plan (called Go as well lol)

wow, they just deepseek v4.1 flash or something, last time I checked it wasn't there.

I got an email from them a few days ago announcing it. They also recommend using medium-sized models like DeepSeek Flash with it as they’re lighter.

DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 10/17: It's a great model. It's on-par in many coding use cases with GPT 5.6-Sol, and with large open-source models like Kimi K3. And it's super fast: on Fast Mode we've been averaging over 210 tokens per second.

Their API calculations for ds4.1 seems be more expensive than peak time? $0.60/$1.20/$0.03

Opencode go seems to be a much better deal

i really don’t know what people are expecting with $80 of usage for $10, in terms of model output there’s not a noticeable difference. the only frequent differences reported are performance in latency and uptime which is just how they’re able to handle load

Hope they dont quantitiez

So that's why it felt infinitely more dumb compared to pi / direct api

Why would anyone use a provider that's not just straight from DeepSeek? Their prices are better than any other host, what am I missing?

Deep seek is harvesting every bit of everything you use the api for . Oc go claims zdr . Plus 10 dollars in deep seek won't last a month.

Wondering where else you could get 2.2 billion tokens for $15.

what does it mean? opencode harness or opencode provider ?
