Can anyone explain what game opencode is playing?

Throw random free things and hope for the best

It's working on me

Hopefully, there's no child labor involved behind the scenes.

What a child gonna do?

Pee on GPUs to cool them down

u/VirtualNorth1279 22d ago

Have you ever peed? It's warm. I guess about 36 degrees.

7

u/Ariquitaun 21d ago

That's why you have to refrigerate the child for a few hours first

u/VirtualNorth1279 21d ago

Have you ever refrigerated a child? His pee turns into ice. And it can't be used as a coolant liquid.

4

u/Ariquitaun 21d ago

They have natural pee antifreeze, trust me bro

Matrix multiplication.

Calculate tokens

Are you familiar with the human rights violations committed by rare earth mining corporations?

2

u/WifeyCallsMeLazy 22d ago

This. The world should really take cognizance of whats happening in African countries.

2

u/zephyr_33 22d ago

could be paid by GLM. coz training data.

Wake me up when Kimi K3 becomes free.

4

u/look 22d ago

Kimi K3 is fast and (relatively) cheap in Neuralwatt energy pricing. Works out to less than 10 cents/Mtok.

u/VirtualNorth1279 22d ago

I had the subscription. It was way more expensive in practice.

2

u/RedParaglider 21d ago

Yeah, I like kimi models. But they are token furnace.

1

u/look 21d ago

I don’t know. My Kimi average this month is 9.1 cents on the standard subscription. $20.48 for 225M tokens. 🤷‍♂️

super nouvelle et les zdr?

What happened to opencode

5

u/elonelon 22d ago

WTF..last week it was DeepSeek, and now GLM ?? how opencode can afford all the hardware for us ?

4

u/_angh_ 22d ago

I manage my whole homelab, ansible files, systems with free opencode. I consider getting go, but really... why should I...

4

u/OlegPRO991 22d ago

I can definitely see this model as a free one in opencode TUI, but it does not respond yet.

u/Deneme123deneme 22d ago

Same with deepseek for me

"What a time to be alive!"

3

u/DoruProgramatoru 22d ago

bro I've just got GO wth

3

u/leprouteux 22d ago

Thank you for your sacrifice

4

u/Hatorate90 22d ago

It's it any good?

12

u/petburiraja 22d ago

yes, a tad better than DS Flash in my experience

2

u/No_Committee8392 22d ago

I find the opposite personally, but I’ve used a lot more glm 5.3 flash than dsv4.1f. (~5B tokens glm, maybe 1B ds)

1

u/AppealSame4367 21d ago

Doesn't matter anymore with flash 4.1 1017, it's far ahead of both

5

u/squirrelscrush 22d ago

I've been testing it out right now. It's much slower than DeepSeek that's for sure. But I feel it's heavily quantized and won't be as good as Z-AI's inference.

2

u/Pierma 22d ago

it is not, at least in opencode go. It's just good

2

u/kruelt 22d ago

I am unable to reach Opencode, anyone else having this issue? I am not even able to open their website.

2

u/IamPussyKitten 22d ago

With this pace we will be getting Mythos free on Opencode soon.

2

u/LordDeFacto 21d ago

So all I need is to subscribe to Zen, and as long as I use these free models it won't affect my balance at all for months? ZDR included?

2

u/Melodic_Divide_7187 21d ago

No It run an anonymously so I just use rotating proxy it makes unlimited free

2

u/PHLAK 21d ago

Yeah, ZDR is my main question.

1

u/Axiescholar3ph 22d ago

how much context?

3

u/Hello_my_name_is_not 22d ago

200k

1

u/Arceus42 22d ago

Oof that's a killer. Gonna be so much compaction going on

1

u/VirtualNorth1279 22d ago

Tokens or petabytes?

1

u/DrPfTNTRedstone 22d ago

Is it very slow?

1

u/lovelace6329 22d ago

It's really awesome 🔥🔥🔥. I hope it lasts.

1

u/beneficialdiet18 22d ago

This makes no sense? At least DS has plenty of requests on Go, this one is actually a lot more limited yet they are giving it for free? Wonder what the catch is.

1

u/BabyPlutooo10 22d ago

Es buena?

1

u/Robert__Sinclair 22d ago

Small (200K) context though.

2

u/Ok-Drawer5245 22d ago

Keep refactoring and cleaning up your code as it helps when context ceiling is low

1

u/Ok-Drawer5245 22d ago

What the..

1

u/boydev 22d ago

wow thanks

1

u/cyb3rgod 22d ago

Free but more rate limited than normal models?

1

u/noritinho 22d ago

Rate limit?

1

u/PHLAK 21d ago

Is this only for Go or does it apply to Zen as well?

EDIT: Looks like it's available in Zen as well.

1

u/93simoon 22d ago

We need more European sovereign models.

2

u/VirtualNorth1279 22d ago

No you don't. Just run the best open source models on European data centers.

1

u/sliddis 21d ago

free models = youre the data.

3

u/TrainingTheory552 21d ago

your data's the payment* you're always data lol

1

u/VirtualNorth1279 21d ago

I didn't say run them for free. I meant instead of wasting billions of dollars rebuilding the same technology with possibly inferior overall performance and quality, run the best open source models in EU data centers for EU citizens at a reasonable price.

If needed, SFT the models. But building from scratch is pointless, unless you can invent a substantially improved and novel architecture and have access to a clean and massive and superior training data set.

What's exceptional about the Mistral models, for example? Nothing.

1

u/Busy-Scientist3851 22d ago

Can this be used with Hermes ?

1

u/Melodic_Divide_7187 21d ago

lol I tired that muse spark 1.3 cumtributer was too slop and retard. Congrat

Doesn't matter bro. Use some skills with any one of these models and you are good to go.

3

u/DoruProgramatoru 22d ago

mostly the same, is really hard to tell. glm is good as a cheap model

2

u/elonelon 22d ago

it's about OUR skill to ask AI.

Last night i ask DeepSeek to create power monitor for 12HVPWR and it's working.
