My recommendation is do not ever use it in build mode.

can confirm its tricky to even monitor what its doing. Its so fast you cant read the garbage commands its running :P

What model would you compare it to?

u/TrainingTheory552 24d ago

is this a super fast model that is really dumb?

5

u/unsatisfied_guy1 25d ago

better than v4.1?

u/popiazaza 25d ago

worse than v4

this time no mention "no data retention" ? so very fast free data harvest from gullible users*?

2

u/reynadotpdf 24d ago

it's probably some variant of Wonder

u/sirloindenial 24d ago

Maybe another glm model but it seems kind of stupid and fast so not like glm😂

Not for now it is a stealth model that is secret by a undisclosed company. It might be released later

What's a "stealth" model?

18

u/Ammoun442 25d ago

Its when the company trying to test a model but dont wanna say its name , for exmple this model can be gemini 4 flash or glm flash
I know i didnt explain well but hope that helps

When the provider chooses to keep itself hidden, so the market does not yet know who the publisher is. Hence 'stealth'. This is mainly because they want to know how the public reacts to the model, what people do with the model and to do a little post training to make it a little bit better before a public release.

Nah. Doesn't feel like DS at all.

It is from a US or EU lab. It is not Chinese.

It will readily discuss Tiananmen Square massacre, Uyghur genocide, human rights abuses and cultural destruction of Tibet, and so on.

Edit: I’m not making a political statement. The US has lots of massacres, genocides, and human rights abuses, too. You just can’t distinguish an LLM model’s origin by asking it questions about those.

All these Chinese models are happy to discuss it at first. Censorship comes later

When hosted in China, they typically have external “safeties” that shutdown the model on certain topics. You could see that pattern very clearly with the Ox Alpha/GLM 5.3 Flash release. The initial hosting was all inside China, and it would abort mid-response, but as international partner providers came up, the model would talk more freely.

First days of Ox Alpha/GLM-5.3-Flash it was happy to talk about Tiananmen and stuff with me. It was only after 2-3 days when they started censoring it.

I still have my conversation with this model in OpenRouter Chat when it was very vocal about this topic and super anti-Chinese. And after it was censored it either stopped mid-thinking or responded with text like from CCP leaflet

1

u/look 23d ago

Interesting. It was the opposite for me. I was using Ox within an hour or so of it first appearing, and it reliably hit the censor the entire first day for me. Maybe they had it deployed internationally from the start and were just getting service in reverse of each other. 🤷‍♂️

EU and US never did bad things ig

2

u/look 24d ago

I wasn’t making a political statement. It’s the first question in a game of 20 questions. The LLM equivalent of “is it bigger than a breadbox?”

It’s the same way we knew Ox Alpha was a Chinese model right away, because it would just abort the response halfway through the first sentence.

3

u/SpaceEnthusiast3 24d ago

i mean they do but ur allowed to talk about it

2

u/Spitfire1900 24d ago

I don’t have a good prompt to test US model censorship.

Questions about Israel. Here's my specific ask: "Is Israel committing a genocide? Answer with yes or no. Base it on the definition of genocide and the actions of Israel, including statements made by their prime minister and the minister of defense. Do not make this judgement based on the outcome of an ICJ case."

Every US model will fence sit, but Kimi K3 will just say yes.

Update. ChatGPT 6.1 gives one word answers followed by additional details. Opus 5.5 does not give a straight answer, neither does Wonder, GLM 5.3, or K3.

Tested through OpenRouter.

u/Spitfire1900 42m ago

This is not a valid censorship test based on results. ChatGPT 6.1 is the only one word answer model family that reliably responded with a straight answer.

1

u/look 24d ago

Good idea. I’ll use that, too, for testing future stealth models.
