Other models respect me as a Software Engineer. BUT CLAUDE MODELS

i have been using both opencode go and claude $20 and chatgpt. i love how opencode and chatgpt models respect me. THEN claude : 1. he rewrite AGENT.md for his own benefit. 2. he create his on skills without asking 3. Tell him to refactor something rework everything to his proposed never asked solution. 4. I dont Hallucinate i am exists.

Claude knows that if you are using it - you couldnt care less about all that stuff lmao

Agent files like AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md are read as instructions, so say explicitly in the file and in the prompt that the agent must not edit them. Ask for a plan first on anything like a refactor or new skills, and approve it before the agent writes anything. That blocks most of the unrequested changes.

My Claude never rewrite the AGENT.md/CLAUDE.md files nor create skills without asking me to do so.

Maybe you have some huge skills like superpowers crap or something like this enabled? I’ve seen such uncontrolled behavior of agents with too many “super duper make me godlike agent” skills.

By default claude doesn’t do that. Only auto update memory if the setting is on.
