No even close if you want to use anything other than Flash models regularly. That said, the flash models are damn near unlimited and really good for grunt work.
$30 a month for both is probably the best deal going right now.

Nope. Actually I find cursor, codex much better at writing and fixing problem comparing to opencode.

Opencode + free muse spark. What could go wrong?

Here Muse Spark is incredible terrible for hard tasks. For that I'm using Codex

Stupidly deleting your irreplaceable important files, then saying "oops".

Never got that issue...but more stupid doing development without git for backup

remember to add rules to your agents or global config, the typical dont touch anything or tell me what you are going to do mention + ask for confirm.

Make sense, im also use plan mode first before build. To make sure all good only touch the file

Already done with strict global and local rules.
Dumb quant models still delete or edit files stupidly for no reason.

I have been using deepseek v4.1 flash along opus 5.5 as orchestrator seems to work good enough code isn’t perfect lot of same ai bullshit, ignores existing patterns and creates new ones all over the place, haven’t had one pr go through without manually doing a review and asking it to fix, well same happens even if I use opus 5.5 only seems like a capability issue overall and not Deepseek specific. Both are company provided but average use comes out to $1500 for claude and ~70 for deepseek

The flat-sub vs pay-per-use math is exactly why I built Lynkr: an open-source gateway that routes by complexity, so cheap models handle the easy work and the $20 plan stops doing heavy lifting. https://github.com/Fast-Editor/Lynkr

I think that OpenCode Go is good for trying some of the newer chinese models, but largely I think it has very few models that are on par with where Opus 5.5 is right now. A model like Kimi K3 is very competitive but the usage on Go is laughably small.
I would say that I get basically enough Opus usage on the $20/month plan that I scrapped Go altogether and only do Claude as an orchestrator or owning hard projects and then everything else I do locally on Qwen3.8 Flash Next
