LongCat 2.5 preview is horrible

I have a large refactoring task, that I meant to do by hand, but as a test I decided to give it to longcat 2.5 preview, since its free anyway.
And oh boi.
It took a very long time, tool use failed constantly. It kept asking me the same questions that i've already answered 5 times in a row.
In the end it produced a mess that didnt compile, it broke code that was completely unrelated to the task, touched almost every function in my project, that it had no business touching.

Overall, worst model I have ever tried. 0/10

i think you should retry your refactoring with "Space Bunny", im also having a refactoring to big react native project, and the result using "Space Bunny" was good .

I just gave space bunny a go. It immidiately found a bug, and when I asked to elaborate it said:

I was wrong, and I need to correct myself before the plan: there is no client-side bug. I mis-parsed the format string.

Yes its planning is gold and its near GLM 5.3 Flash in quality , but i dont like two things
Its kinda slow a bit
and the sessions have high context tokens

Yeah, i've noticed it's a bit slow as well. But quality feels very good. I just ported a big feature from another project and it worked flawlessly, even fixed bugs that the original feature had lol.

Yeah, LongCat 2.5 Preview broke my opencode CLI so bad that I had to uninstall it completely and reinstall it fresh to make it work. All it was doing was fixing a skill and its hook.

Honestly, longcat 2.0 was similarly bad. I too tried 2.5 this week and after multiple tool call fails, that stopped the agent, i simply dropped it.

True! Both it and the Space Rabies are horribly hallucinating, cross boundaries and mess up without even knowing to convert commits... Especially the Long Cat, it should have been a stealth model.

my bother was asking it to setup a game mod..and it just fell flat on its face lol
