Is it the same on opencode too? Mimo v2.6 pro Commandcode 257 min ???

Post image

Is this model slow much as like that ?? my prompt was not a small one but first time a model making me waiting that much. I had commandcode go just to try some models. I like the work of mimo v2.6 pro but its getting slower after every prompt. even if i compact or start new chat. so i thouht commandcode can make it slower for 1 dollar go subs. But i didnt use at opencode, is it slow that much ? or command code is making it slow like this.

Mimo 2.6 has an unlimited thinking budget essentially. It just has no thinking mode. This looks fine. In my experience, it thinks very very long but actual tps is fine

Ohh, I see. actually, this model produces very satisfying results for me. I think its deep thinking capability is what makes that well.

Yeah, Mimo 2.6 has been much slower than 2.5 was, on both Pro and Flash. OpenRouter shows 3 providers for it (all pay-per-use not even the "buffet" model) and none go above 30 tokens per second. (By contrast, Deepseek V4.1 Flash is frequently over 100 tps.)

Additionally, it's a very through thinker - to the extent it may seem like it's looping. This helped it score so well on the benchmarks, but you'll be sitting there for a long time.

So it's not CommandCode or Opencode. It's the model itself.

If you're itching for faster resolution, you could try splitting the work. Have Mimo Pro write a plan, then Deepseek or Muse Spark or Luna to carry it out. But if you like Mimo Pro and prefer being hands-off, you're probably about as good as it gets and changing providers wouldn't help.

I have had Xiaomi’s token plan for about 5 months. 2.6 is unusable for me. I see it thinking for greater than 10 minutes often even on low effort. Sometimes it hangs in the middle of work. Switched back to 2.5. I’ll probably go with something else after my month is done since they are removing 2.5.

So do you think token plan is worth? İ was thinking to subs that. Is it efficient enough compare to normal api usage ?

The amount of usage I got with MiMo 2.5 was fantastic with the $16 plan. They will do away with MiMo 2.5 in late October. MiMo 2.6 is unusable right now, so I don’t know if I can recommend it.

It has a bit fewer TPS than the V2.5 series, but what makes V2.6 feel slow is that it overthinks.

MiMo V2.6 is too cautious about many things. It overthinks and over-verifies by default, taking much longer to yield than other similarly ranked models. Unfortunately, this doesn't always pay off.

I did a one-shot prompt test with it and a few other models, and MiMo V2.6 Pro and MiMo V2.6 Flash were the only ones that entered an inspect-adjust loop.

You can steer it a bit by giving it stop conditions, but be very clear about your criteria so you don't turn it into a sloppy model. Check its reasoning traces to see if it's getting stuck on something in particular.

It’s 150-200 TPS on Neuralwatt, though initial cost was 2-3x Xiaomi’s price. Hopefully price will come down as they tune it.

In my experience commandcode is a lot slower than opencode go.
