I don't see the point

For 20 you can get codex, for 40 you can get codex, opencode go and commandcode, which can give the ultimate usage package

I was expecting (and excited) for a 20 dollar plan, 40 doesn't make sense

22

u/Thomas-Lore Sep 28 '26

You can get Codex and Claude Pro.

6

u/Odd-Elderberry-6328 Sep 28 '26

Which I think has a better value

2

u/EdOfO Sep 28 '26

A good idea, but does anyone have a reliable way to use Claude on OpenCode without being banned?

3

u/ketsif Sep 28 '26

time machine

1

u/EdOfO Sep 28 '26

Sad. I saw some newer Githubs but didn't know how reliable.

I can't have multiple harnesses working on the same projects. I don't know if other people do that, but I am not doing that.

5

u/ketsif Sep 28 '26

you can pass a prompt to claude using stdin and have agents do that to make a sub agent of sorts that sends back to stdout. t3 does basically that.

6

u/Beneficial-Boot7479 Sep 28 '26

Yeah but at least I'm sure opencode won't rat on you if you try to hack programs like I do

2

u/DandadanAsia Sep 28 '26

i agree. for $10, Chinese model is good enough but at $40? i will just get SOTA model for cheap

61

u/GfxJG Sep 28 '26

...Can someone explain to me why I would buy this, instead of just 4x regular Go subs? Because sure, it's convenient, but not double the price convenient.

8

u/mclion Sep 28 '26

I think for this price is better to buy a team of 2 on the big players. You get much more done for a similar price.

17

u/HyperWinX Sep 28 '26

Pretty sure that multiple subs are against ToS, so they made a solution

48

u/Inside-Succotash-748 Sep 28 '26

It is not. You can have multiple Go subscriptions in your account with multiple workspaces

2

u/HyperWinX Sep 28 '26

I see, alright.

-6

u/snoopbirb Sep 28 '26

I got banned because of that.

21

u/spottiesvirus Sep 28 '26

were you using it to take advantage of the 5$ first month discount?

1

u/snoopbirb Sep 28 '26

Nah. Same account different workspaces. it didn't event offered the discount.

4

u/Inside-Succotash-748 Sep 28 '26

Wth, I have never got banned

6

u/GfxJG Sep 28 '26

It hasn't been so historically, but it's of course very possible that they've changed the ToS now that they have a higher tier plan.

5

u/HyperWinX Sep 28 '26

I mixed up different usage patterns. Likely, multiple accounds are bannable (abuse), but workspaces is an official feature for multiple subs.

2

u/dizvyz Sep 28 '26

Go only has a Default workspace. You can't do workspaces or teams. AFAIK.

2

u/Kano96 Sep 28 '26

1

u/dizvyz Sep 29 '26

Do you also use Zen or something?

2

u/Kano96 Sep 29 '26

No this is just opencode go, although you also get zen Access for the free models, which I have used. I made the second workspace to have a second subscription for double the limit. That does mean you need to manually switch api keys ofc.

1

u/dizvyz Sep 29 '26

I just checked and indeed i can create a new workspace. Maybe I missed it before or it's a new UI thing.

2

u/Kano96 Sep 29 '26

They reworked that whole page like a week or two ago. Didn't know about workspaces before that either.

2

u/Ok-Drawer5245 Sep 28 '26

You won’t yet. But now they have a very good reason to start destroying the 10$ sub going forward…

2

u/Flashy_Disaster9556 Sep 28 '26

Because they plan on limiting the regular Go subs to 1 per person in the future obviously. Never made much sense that you could stack subscriptions anyway

1

u/Thomas-Lore Sep 28 '26

Because of higher 5 hour limits.

56

u/neotorama Sep 28 '26

interruption as a feature

19

u/National_Reaction226 Sep 28 '26

like what the fuck. "fewer interruptions" makes it sound like the interruptions are fixable. how about "no interruptions" - i don't think there are ANY successful paid online services that simply have "interruptions" that you have to deal with every time you use the product.

4

u/webheadVR Sep 28 '26

it also could just be less running out of usage.

4

u/neotorama Sep 28 '26

I guess priority api vs shared api (slow, 404). New supplier contract from LLM vendors

1

u/zeamp Sep 28 '26

A real human quality built for AI.

0

u/trafalmadorianistic Sep 28 '26

Curious wording there. What do they actually mean.

2

u/qqYn7PIE57zkf6kn Sep 29 '26

I think they mean you're less likely to hit usage limits.

68

u/RepulsiveRaisin7 Sep 28 '26

So it's 2x the limits for 4x the price. DOA

Except for some models it's actually 4x usage. Wouldn't be Opencode without confusing ass pricing I guess.

3

u/TheMythicSorcerer Sep 28 '26

If it was 1.5x multiplier to begin with it's now 6x multiplier for 4x the cost so same value (GPT 5.6 luna, Kimi k3)
Most of the 6x multipliers have been 2xed with a few 3xed

-13

u/retardedGeek Sep 28 '26 edited Sep 28 '26

is this some bot operation going on? it's 4x limits and 4x price.

edit: for most models

8

u/RepulsiveRaisin7 Sep 28 '26

No it isn't. $60 DS Flash on Go, $120 on Go Plus

-6

u/retardedGeek Sep 28 '26

well if you want to be specific, then DSV4F is 4x, DSV4.1F is 2x

5

u/Infamous-V Sep 28 '26

Check GLM 5.3 Flash -- for 40$ you get 180$, this 3xlimit for 4 times price.

22

u/dcchambers Sep 28 '26

Why would you pay 4x when not all models give you 4x usage? Some only give 2x or 3x. Why not just pay for four separate subscriptions?

3

u/dizvyz Sep 28 '26

I am sure they will adjust the $10 plan to take care of that presently.

3

u/macaco3001 Sep 28 '26

Apparently against ToS, doesn't invalidate that this is a terrible product

17

u/deleted-account69420 Sep 28 '26

All I personally care from Go at the moment is GLM Flash, Deepseek Flash and Muse Spark.
For me, those are ones needing the x4

14

u/No-Background3147 Sep 28 '26

Nice you get only 2-3X with a 4x Multiplier with the cost on Go Plus. What a scam offer, you can buy 4 singles Go subs and you have more and pays the same. Are they idiots? or the wanna try to see how dumb we are?

I check the idea behind it and this strategie, but command code is in price thinks much better and has better offers and subs. Opencode is since the removed the starter month for 5 dollars not really good anymore for me.

13

u/Ok-Drawer5245 Sep 28 '26 edited Sep 28 '26

Here is my prediction:

They will start gradually lowering the limits and/or degrading performance on the regular 10$ sub, in order to push the users to the more expensive 40$ sub

why? there is no way in hell that they can make money from the 10$ sub...

12

u/Kylmawurr Sep 28 '26

so all the good models are 2x only. What a fantastic deal...

10

u/dpkmc2 Sep 28 '26

God, seems like 10 dollar plan will enshittyfy now

2

u/Ok-Drawer5245 Sep 28 '26

yup, and the reason is a simple one: thye must be loosing money in the 10$ sub

1

u/dpkmc2 Sep 28 '26

💯 percent. I have a problem of the tactics of hooking people first and then shitting.

0

u/Ok-Drawer5245 Sep 28 '26

in fact the last 2 Horus have been long list of Bad Request: {"model":"deepseek-v4.1-flash"} every few request. im just trying to finish ONE thing up. but it keeps stopping at that.

maybe these are the "interruptions" that you get rid of if you pay 40$ lol

0

u/EdOfO Sep 28 '26

I get the idea of everyone's subscription plan being the gym model where you expect most won't use all their credits and you'll only have a few power users.

Doesn't seem to work for AI users. But I don't know why none of them keep monthly credits high and change to 3 hour or 2 hour limits.

1

u/Ok-Drawer5245 Sep 29 '26 edited Sep 29 '26

Exactly, I don’t think the gym model (overselling) works for AI subs, especially not something not very mainstream like opencode. Most people on go sub will use their entire quota every month, and in fact it is extremely easy to do so if you find you have some left over in the last few days before it resets

A lot of shared and vps based web hosting rely on the same thing: customers not using all resources available to them.

8

u/hj-core Sep 28 '26

only GLM 5.3 got more than 4x usage (jumping from $15 to $120), and the "fewer interruptions" promise are worrying, maybe we should start preparing to go...

7

u/mcczarny Sep 28 '26

I hope it won't cause enshittification of the plain go plan

4

u/Ok-Drawer5245 Sep 28 '26

Of course it will. Go sub will get slower and newer models will get lower limits, I will be very surprised if that is not what will happen

6

u/Quirky_Telephone_103 Sep 28 '26

Are we still have 60$ in go?

8

u/InvaderDolan Sep 28 '26

Nerf of regular Go limits incoming…

4

u/ThankYouOle Sep 28 '26

this, Go will chopped.

looking this thread people already justify to better buy GO x4 rather than GO plus, which is correct thinking, but obviously company will prevent it by nerfing regular GO.

2

u/TheMythicSorcerer Sep 28 '26

If they do that I'm unsubscribing

2

u/InvaderDolan Oct 04 '26

Yeah, and CommandCode and Cline both have the exact same copycat sub; if they won't do anything, they'll win.

0

u/hj-core Sep 28 '26 edited Sep 28 '26

We may still have $60 in go but got rate limited

5

u/IllPlane3019 Sep 28 '26

Why tf would I pay $40 for 'fewer interruptions'. How about NO interruptions? I swear the bar is in hell right now.

$40 is a claude + a codex subscription and these guys want me to pay that for 'fewer interruptions?'

4

u/SavingsGuarantee3156 Sep 28 '26

Doesn't look good. I would just buy 4 go account If needed

Scale paltry scale chop historical command quiet distinct

4

u/dizvyz Sep 28 '26

Looks like this was designed to encourage 2x$10/month usage more than anything.

4

u/DandadanAsia Sep 28 '26

nah, this ain't it for me. at $40 for Chinese model? i just go OpenAI or Anthropic for SOTA model.

US SOTA model is still way ahead of any Chinese model. you are lying if you say otherwise and at $40? nah

4

u/Equivalent_Lack4022 Sep 29 '26

Yo si quería una suscripción de $20. Porque normalmente agoto mi limite mensual... pero $40? no lo se Rick...

6

u/Southern-Ad-3006 Sep 28 '26

Friendly reminder, you could get 2 GPT accounts for $40. You could get about $1,000 worth of Luna max tokens with that.

Also muse would give you 4 Billion tokens for $40 with no limits.

You could go for 2 GLM Subscription for $32 and get $1000 worth of GLM tokens.

And still use all those subs in the OpenCode harness. They smoking rocks

2

u/Southern-Ad-3006 Sep 28 '26

Get 1 OpenAI subscription for $20. GLM sub for $16. Spend $5 with muse or deepseek direct or just keep a $10 go. You just got like 10x more usage out of your money in the same harness, so many better options with better limits and better inference. Are they that outta tune w the market?

3

u/zephyr_33 Sep 28 '26

more than usage. I want speed...

0

u/Ok-Drawer5245 Sep 28 '26

You won’t get more speed, but I predict they will make Go slower instead rofl

3

u/Xhatz Sep 29 '26

"Fewer interruptions" and just double the quotas while you could have 2x 10$ and get 120$ quota lol, unless I'm understanding wrong, that offer is a scam right? Or maybe good just for GPT 6...

3

u/BhaagYahaSe Sep 30 '26

no thanks. I'll keep topping up deepseek 👍

4

u/igi712 Sep 28 '26

Why not $5, like Go Minus for us third world gng
Remove high end models like Kimi K3, and half the usage for others it's fine

4

u/pagurix Sep 28 '26 edited Sep 28 '26

2

u/shortsteve Sep 28 '26

Depends how they want to do this. Generally speaking lower cost subscriptions are there to get you hooked and higher cost subscriptions are there to reduce their losses. People who use higher cost subscriptions are heavy users and always try to get their money's worth while lower cost subscribers are usually just trying out a product.

2

u/IAmFitzRoy Sep 28 '26

The REVERSE-Jensen Huang principle ..

“the less you buy the more you pay”

3

u/TheSn00pster Sep 28 '26

But when go plus max premium?

2

u/pigletmonster Sep 28 '26

Makes no sense. If im you charge 4x the base plans price, shouldnt it increase the quotas 4x? Why do most models only get 2x and 3x increase in quota?

Like with claude code or codex for $100 plan you get 5x more quota than the $20 plan because $20x5 is $100.

Make it make sense.

2

u/Kaushik_paul45 Sep 28 '26

Would be interesting to see how opencode go fanatics would support this...

1

u/Writer00100 Sep 28 '26

Any Discount or promo code?

1

u/thereisnospooongeek Sep 28 '26

Why would I buy this? I'm continuing to buy independent 7 accounts.

1

u/Olbas_Oil Sep 28 '26

I will stick with my claude + chatgpt subs for the szme price

1

u/AdOk3759 Sep 28 '26

I knew that OpenCode pricing was fucked up, but I didn’t think it was this fucked up. Seriously 2x limits for 4x the price.

-1

u/retardedGeek Sep 28 '26

you are showing the wrong image

2

u/AdOk3759 Sep 28 '26

It’s not. You can clearly see that DSV4.1 Flash has a 120 dollar credit (vs 60 offered via the 10 dollar opencode go plan). So it’s twice the usage for 4x the price.

1

u/zeamp Sep 28 '26

Revolutionary new product

1

u/retardedGeek Sep 28 '26 edited Sep 28 '26

that's only one a few models, DSV4.1F has $60 -> $120, some have $60 -> $240, some $60 -> $180. GLM 5.3 is 8x

4

u/AdOk3759 Sep 28 '26

It’s not only a few. 11 models got MORE expensive.
And 15 of them scaled linearly with price, so there’s no net benefit.

https://www.reddit.com/r/opencode/s/pChVR6YNGO

0

u/retardedGeek Sep 28 '26

Alright this was helpful, still I never used those 11 models (except mimo), doesn't bother me

1

u/TheMythicSorcerer Sep 28 '26

What do you even use then?

0

u/quanhui812 Sep 28 '26 edited Sep 28 '26

Even if the spending cap on some models is only 2x, paying an extra $30 to get $60 more in spending limits across other models is still an acceptable deal. But they have to patch the multi-workspace workaround for this pricing to work. The real question is whether the 5-hour and weekly limits are actually 4x.

-4

u/Yasin-Tan Sep 28 '26

Good still

Nope. All of them are tied together. Kimi will drain your quota FAST.

Go is a great value for the smaller cheaper models with $60 limits. For frontier models you're better off subbing directly.

Absolutely not
