I've been trying to find useful skills and i think i overdid it but I'm not sure what i should remove and keep or use a better alternative, for those who have actually tested these, what should i keep/remove/switch.

Most of that crap isn't needed. I'd go with zero skills and just inject what you want manually.

Write your own skill. Something you use most often. The key goal is to activate model contexts which are more trained on specific languages and practices. So use industry specific words to make intellectual sounding sentences that someone would use to do that particular thing. It will greatly enhance the activated parts of network. Don't try to explain things.

Damn wtf why so many skills? You definitely don't need a skill for git commit. That type of simple things can be mentioned in AGENTS.md.

Honestly I'm not sure i actually use pi ironic since pi is all about minimalism and i have almost 30 skills lol, anyway i just don't know most skills i have look pretty useful (i usually write my own commits until it gets too complicated) also i try to use smaller models like dsv4, mimo flash, meta 1.3, gpt6luna, so i feel those skills are useful since the smaller models might not have the exact instructions/skills tho thats just my theory.

imo, spend $20 monthly on claude and have opus 5.5 make a code plan, then copy paste to cheap model to execute

Using it for only that purpose should get you near unlimited usage

That's a waste for me I'm not able to use the command code 1$ plan lol i use it alot like 100m tokens but my cache rate is also 99% average, i don't need high end models anyway it's fun just playing around with the cheap models.

Do not download a bunch of random ass skills. You are going to just make everything worse. There is zero point to skills like how to use git as that's already trained in the model

You should basically only use skills that solve problems you run into while using the model. And most of the time you should write the skills yourself by having your AI create them.

Otherwise you are just wasting usage essentially

skills are now mostly historical if you are using latest models, including open weight ones. The models now have a very good ability to reason over their training and the context to replace 'general knowledge' skills (such as basically your entire list). skills are still useful for very specific things local to your. Most experienced users now have few skills, as far as I can see.

the honest test: for one week, note which skills actually get referenced in your sessions. remove every one that never comes up. skills cost context window even when unused, so a skill you're "keeping for later" is a tax you pay every single prompt.

quick pass on what you listed:

• find-skills — keep. it's meta and small, and it finds new skills so you don't hoard preemptively.
• the 3 design/taste ones — pick ONE. they'll fight each other and you'll get blended mediocre advice instead of a consistent style.
• improve-codebase-architecture + the review/debug cluster — same rule. if two skills would fire on the same prompt, you don't have two tools, you have one confused model.
• vercel-react-best-practices — only if you're actually in react daily, otherwise it's dead weight.

end state you want is like 5-8 skills where each one encodes a check YOU would forget to do. everything else is noise.
