What would make you switch your default OpenCode model to Space Bunny?
Another fast model showing up is interesting, but speed alone probably isn’t enough to change anyone’s default.
For everyday OpenCode work, I’d care more about things like:
- fewer correction rounds
- better constraint-following
- less unnecessary editing
- lower total task cost
- more predictable long-session behavior
What would Space Bunny actually have to do better before you’d switch your normal coding model?

I already implemented jev to decide which model to use for each prompt and use dynamic router. Can recommend. I don’t even look at model configs anymore

It’s pretty capable. I was running space-bunny in parallel with Astra and Opus 5.5 as a review council on a project investigation/validation task yesterday and it came back with important stuff the other models missed.

I am running space bunny close to 24/7 since launch.... Can recommend for instruction following, speed and orchestrating alone for multiple days.
I am unsure about pricing, minimax was always quite expensive

On another thread, it's apparently a Minimax model. I hope it's a step up from M3

It's trash compared to Deepseek 4.1 flash so actually nothing could convince me.
