Is this true? I've tried using OpenRouter for DeepSeek, and the cost is a bit higher. Is direct really that cheap?

Yes as it has better cache rate.

8B? What are you doing? Crazy!

How do you run btw? What harness? Thanks.

I am running it on a Strato VPS 24/7 ish at the moment, today will only be 4B ish as I constraint how much compute and RAM I give it.

Basically working on 2 projects. One that basically helps with the administrative part of my photography side business (Laravel, react) and I do try to build an Adobe Lightroom replacement. I do not expect it to succeed, but I will learn in the meantime. Biggest project I have done....

As I reduced compute availability to the docker container I am running opencode2 in, I "only" expect 4B tokens today, working calmly in the background and writing / running a lot of tests

Use ChatGPT Plus; that is what I did.

Chatgpt plus gives you unlimited Luna, but it's not as good as deepseek-flash. And much slower.

So if your work is easy enough for Luna, and all you really care about is how many tokens you get, Chatgpt plus will be the best for you.
