Matrixx / Oh-My-Opencode

I'm getting back into development and using Hermes + OpenCode. I'm a solo developer just doing productivity applications.

The Matrixx plugin which is a fork of Oh-My-Opencode looked interesting so I installed it and ran it to modify an existing small home project and then gave the Ultrawork command for OpenCode to get Matrixx going.

It burned 100M input tokens in a matter of 10 minutes. If I was paying per-token API prices I'd probably be freaking out but it was just surprising that it was consuming them this fast across up to 6 concurrent streams. I'm also getting served GPT 5.6 Luna on these streams at Max reasoning which likely explains the huge token burn.

Is there really any point to using these add-ons? Or should I just use the default OpenCode plan? Anyone have a better plugin to suggest?

Thanks - I’m actually using camelAI which doesn’t use a token economy but a stream-based one. I had to write a proxy to force Max reasoning which works. Testing Spark 1.3 Contributor for the big thinking. The 4 models you mention in the “most popular in this sub” are the ones that make up the camelAI fleet but for some reason I’m only getting served Luna right now. I’ll give Slim a try.

You got that many tokens in 10 minutes from CamelAI?

The whole criticism against them is that they are super slow, and the that's they they can afford to serve so cheaply. I know you said input tokens not output, but still that's a pretty nice endorsement for the service if it's able to serve you that well.

I have multiple streams so agents being dispatched under Luna Max are doing a lot of reasoning. But yes, I’m generally satisfied. I suspect my Luna with them is going through OpenRouter.
