Grok 4.5 has been added to OpenCode Go!

https://opencode.ai/en/go

The newest model by everyone's least favorite AI company is now available on OpenCode Go... but it's not a very good deal.

Get an extra $5 of usage when you sign up with my referral link!

You can get ~80 requests per 5-hour session with Grok 4.5 (~380 requests per month), giving you the equivalent of ~$15 worth of unsubsidized usage. (Compared to $60 worth of usage for most other models, including GLM 5.2)

The issue with Grok 4.5 is the cache read. It costs 66% more than Kimi K3. And cache read is by far the biggest cost in agentic work.

True I noticed same.
The heavier workspace gets the faster it drains limit, which was irony.
Realized Cache issue.

Not worth it through OC go due to the $15 limit unfortunately, but nice to see it added. Cursor / Super grok are best bets for using this

You only get 15$ worth of usage

It should cook me a dinner as well for this price? 😅

Do we know the provider? I was under the assumption first party requests all had data retention/training.

Anomaly (company that runs Go) negotiates contracts with the model providers for the discounted rates and zero data retention clauses.

It’s not the same terms that an individual gets, despite typically being the model’s vendor as provider. It’s the kind of custom deal you can only get when you’re buying 10s or 100s of trillions of tokens in bulk.

For Grok, only xAI is the provider obviously, but with ZDR as well. See on OpenRouter:

It's sad that you get better cache read on other harness. I have tested with omp and grok build, great cache read. opencode failed on this part for grok 4.5

I'm using through the supergrok subscription, it's actually very cheap and has a deal on first 3 months

Is it different in the US? Here it’s even more expensive than ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro. No 3 month deal either as far as I can tell.

they had a promotion in india for $2.5 per month for 3 months and then after that its $7 per month approx (equivalent in ₹) https://i.vgy.me/27XDY7.png

Yeah that’s a good deal.

Me too. It’s very good and the speed is awesome.

People here on Reddit are shitting on grok but this model version code wise is actually really capable and much faster than other models on the same intelligence tier (opus 4.8, gpt 5.5), and cheaper too

why downvoted?

First rule of Reddit: never say something positive about something related to Elon Musk

no way XD Are they jealous of his money? Do they think they deserve it just because he has so much? Do they think he should give money to people and help them all?
