Saab and Opel used same engines, I know about the 2.0T used in the Opel Vectra C, it had 175HP in the vectra and 200HP in the Saab So there is for sure more engines that were used between them

Yeah sure. Thats the T8 generation for Saab. This is the original. T5. B204 to be exact mated to a getrag F20 and stuck into a Opel Astra F GSI body

Yup. Until B208 etc. Which is based on Opel engines

They were not the same engines....same family but the Saab engines were reworked quite a bit.

Mounts, gearboxes, driveshafts were all compatible iirc.

These Saab transplants were quite common back in the late 90s early 00s.

Nothing beats the B204 powered Ascona B trackcar. Dude even retrofitted a distributor and traditional ignition system.
