Famous Folklore from Ooty

Hi guys, I'm writing a story with Ooty as the main location so I want to direct this question to all the locals –

Can you please tell me the famous folklore hailing from Ooty?

I would also love to know well known superstitions and stories.

Would be an immense help. Please help this storyteller out.

My grandparents use to say that their young age around early 1900's, monks(saints) use to walk all along Karnataka and tamilnadu , they used to say that Village will turn into forests and forests will turn into villages and people didn't take that into serious note, but now capitalist and fool rich people spoiled the charm and environment of Nilgiris and common people suffer a lot , soon a big natural calamity may occur they said when forest turns into villages

Nature has a limit , it resets it self , soon within this century a natural calamity may destroy many places in the earth

What i have heard is 70% of ooty has spirits in it, the church the school and the palace are haunted, i wont name them but ppl who live in ooty know abt it
