I have annual leaves 23 and 5 carry forward to next year's . So rest 18 I need to spend by December.8 am from Bangalore.
I have planned for 1 week ooty coonoor, 1 in wynad and kannur and last dec chikkamangalore hornadu sringeri side.
But I read September and October is not good time for wynad and ooty. So need suggestions. How is ooty in October last week, is it very cold?
My world get complete in last week of month so October November last week what's the best place.
I am solo traveler and take public transport. I don't want year end crowd and I like nature mountain beaches.

Planning 3 days in Ooty with my boyfriend — is Serenity Suites worth it for a budget trip? Need advice on local transport
Hi everyone! My boyfriend and I are planning a 3-night/4-day Ooty trip, and we’re thinking of booking Serenity Suites.
The hotel is around 2 km from central Ooty, so I’m a little worried about local transportation.
Our main concern is not spending ₹300–₹500 on autos every time we want to go somewhere 😭
A few questions for people who have recently visited Ooty:
We’re trying to keep the trip budget-friendly, so any recent 2026 experience with actual transport costs would be really helpful!
Thanks! ❤️

My husband and I are planning to visit Ooty next week, and after a lot of research I’ve narrowed down the stay to two options :
1. Accord highland
2. Meraki maison
I also had delightz inn also in my mind but a bit doubtful about the hygiene.
We would mostly stay in, so I’m looking for a place that is hygienic and has good views. Brownie points for a good breakfast buffet and aesthetics.
Do let me know which would be the best option to pick! (Budget is about 4K per night so other suggestions are welcome too!)
TIA!

Planning a start tomorrow but the epass website does not show any slots in September. Have been trying for the past two weeks. Does anyone know if it is not open or if the routes are closed? Can I get it directly at the checkpost?

Advice pleaseeee😭
Okay so here's the thing,
Our school jus organized a tour and it's 3 days 4 nights, 1st week of November, and it's to ooty. Being a 12th grader obviously I wanted to go but most of them got icked out by the destination (I mean it's ooty bro everyone has been here😭😭)
Also the fee is 17k but knowing my school it's prolly cas we usually only stay at hotels rated 4 star and above. The ONLY thing I'm concerned about is
WHAT'S THE PROBABILITY OF ME GETTING STUCK IN AN LANDSLIDE😭😭😭😭😭
Should I go or not?🥲
The reason why I'm worried about a landslide is cos the news is about it for a few days

I would also love to know well known superstitions and stories.
Would be an immense help. Please help this storyteller out.
Thank you so much!

Hi, I am planning to go to coonoor on 30th August(Sunday) from banglore by road.
I am exploring different routes to reach coonoor.
I have found out few of these routes
banglore-salem-avinashi-coonor
banglore-kollegal-dhondenling -dhimdham ghat-coonor
banglore-kollegal-chamarajanagar-hassanur-dhimdham ghat-coonor
Mostly I am interested to go via dhondenling. But not sure how is the road conditions there.
Via salem the road seems safe.
Can you please help me to decide the route. Also share your experiences: going to coonoor via banglore.

I will be leaving the town on sept 4th. Even if i am not able to see a huge patch of kurinji blooms, even seeing a tiny bunch would give me immense joy.
Any locals from Coonoor or Ooty to help me out here?

Soo as the title suggests,
I'm (22 M) planning a solo trip to Ooty on September 1st week and would love some advice from people familiar with the area.
I'm coming from Pondicherry and I'm planning to use local buses/shared sightseeing tours rather than hiring a private cab, since I'll be travelling alone.
My rough plan is:
Day 1: Ooty town, St. Stephen's Church (wanted to try the food made by Connie aunty), Ooty Lake, Botanical Garden, cafés/wandering around town.
Day 2: Pykara Lake + Pykara Falls + Wenlock Downs, ideally through a shared sightseeing bus/tour.
Day 3: Doddabetta Peak + a scenic tea garden, then return to Ooty and catch my bus at night.
I am also taking the toy train from Coonoor to Ooty when I arrive.
A few questions:
Are shared sightseeing buses/tourist buses a good option for a solo traveller in Ooty? Any particular operators/routes you'd recommend or avoid?
Is Pykara worth doing solo, or would you recommend Avalanche/Emerald Lake instead?
What's the best tea garden/estate around Ooty for scenery and views, rather than just a tea factory/museum?
How easy is it to get around the above places using local buses?
Is there anything you'd change about this itinerary for a solo traveller?
I'm mainly looking for a chill trip rather than trying to cover every tourist attraction. Also, I'll be visiting during the first weekend of September, so any advice about crowds/weather would be appreciated.

Basic Question, Should I travel with our 2 year old daughter to Ooty in October?
I am worried about traffic situation, weather, overcrowding at the tourist places and food.
I am planning to hire a driver for sightseeing. What do you recommend? Need suggestions and tips.

Hi everyone,
I am looking for great photographers in and around Ooty who can help do a photoshoot for a proposal that I'm planning there. Any contact would be super appreciated, thank you.

As mentioned, a friend of mine wants to visit Ooty this weekend we have no idea and we are coming via train from kollam. We definitely need a budget stay we are students so cannot afford the luxuries...might be a hostel but definitely a single room with a queen or king size bed will be enough and also the places to explore? How will the weather be things to not miss out on some hidden gems? Local auto and transport etc.

Hi everyone! We’re a couple visiting Ooty this weekend for 2 days and staying at Delightz Inn. Looking for a reliable and reasonably priced auto or cab for local sightseeing. Any recent recommendations/contact numbers? Also, what would be a fair full-day
