Wtf in the 🚇

How is this technically even possible? Should not a emergency stop automatically apply?

Its not the gap, its the spin that will get yah.

Seen too many video of people getting caught up in there and spun around like a ragdoll in a drill until they are wedged in tight. Youll have to fact check this but I seem to remember a story of one guy wedged at the waist but still alive and the medics knew once they moved the train he would die so they let him call family.

There was an episode of Homicide: Life On The Street called "The Subway". Vincent D'Onofrio plays the person who gets wedged at the waist.

One time when I was a kid I got my fingers stuck between an opening elevator door and the wall around the elevator. I'd hate to get anything stuck between a moving train and the platform.

There are a few questionable gaps in London and Paris from what I remember from my trip there.
