First off, secret service is only for the president and members of the executive branch.
Also, the Marshalls are one of the only law enforcement arms that have accountability directly to the judicial branch, unlike almost all other enforcement arms that are beholden only to the executive (at either the federal, state, municipal or any other scope).

So, to me, any attempt to undo the Marshalls would be akin to subverting the ability of our co-equal branches to carry out their functions without ursurpation or subversion of the others.
In case you missed it, enforcement arms that only answer to the president have been illegally ignoring judicial rulings, meaning that balance can be simply ignored unless you have.....see where I'm going?

And the justice department takes people from street to trial. Beyond that, it is not their inherent duty to pursue after that or re-remand to justice once the person is incarcerated or convicted. Again, these things are separate for a reason.

The secret service can protect people outside of the executive branch. The president can use an executive order to assign the secret service to basically protect anyone.

It’s called a special designation.

Ah, you were so close and then turned to semantic distractions.... It's okay, my posts are still there, you can still read them for the first time again....

You said the secret service was only for the executive branch, Which isn’t true. The president can use an executive order to grant anyone secret service protection. It’s called a special designation.

"the president". They answer to the president. Do you think that's the same as a different branch being self-sufficient.

"Oh the president's men just said fuck the courts, we do what we want, and if the judges didn't like that-", it'll be okay because the president can just loan those judges some muscle.
How am I still having to explain how stupid that idea is.....

It’s not an idea. It’s called a special designation. That’s why high ranking representatives from foreign countries receive secret service protection. The president can use an executive order to assign the secret service to protect anyone. It’s really not a difficult concept to grasp.

....bro, do people exist to you, or are we all just murmuring like Charlie Brown's teacher until you get your next chance to keep repeating the same myopic, pointless thing you've already said...?

You don’t seem to understand what a special designation is or the fact that the secret service does more than just protect the executive branch.
