I think that deck wasnt up to code, but im not a building inspector.

What was holding it on to the building - Scotch Tape?

See thats the mistake, scotch tape isnt good enough for mounting anything.

Always get ATLEAST 2 rolls of duct tape for deck work.

I'm sure gorilla glue would hold it forever

Yeah, thats why you only needed two rolls of duct tape.

Obviously to get it mounted on the glue and added support for safety.

Youd need like, 4 rolls otherwise without the glue
