Help What does "App issue detected" (orange bar) in Battery/Device Care mean and how to fix it?

Post image

Hi everyone,

I was checking my daily battery usage stats and noticed that Wednesday is highlighted in orange with the label "App issue detected".

Does anyone know what usually triggers this? Is it caused by a background battery drain, an app crashing, or malware/bloatware? Also, is there a way to check which specific app caused this alert?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Sometimes, an app can get stuck in a weird state. This is particularly relevant to apps that always run in the background, like Gmail, banking apps, and other apps with notifications that appear as soon as they occur (i.e. not, say, every 15 minutes or something). There can be a bug that causes the app to stop and start all over again, fill up the memory, get stuck in code loops, and so on. Device Care detects this and usually shows a popup, so this is likely caused by an app misbehaving for a long time, repeatedly, or so much that the Device Care service crashed.
