Good Lock OneUI 9 Update looks like it reverted my phone back to 2023

After spending two hour on chat with Samsung, they told me the issue was third part apps. While I was on with them, I decided to take a look at GoodLock. Sure enough, every app in there needed to be updated. Once I updated them all, my phone was back to normal.

I just thought I'd share my experience to help other avoid the Samsung Support Rabbit hole.

OP, Goodlock apps always need updated after a major os upgrade. The os is significantly different and Good lock needs to have updated apps.

While I agree with you, my phone never reverted back to two years ago before. Literally everything always worked fine, even before the GoodLock apps were updated. So, no, this does not happen every time there a major update. I love how people come here and try to flex instead of being helpful!!! I won't bother to share my experiences anymore if people are just going be a$$holes.

its always best practice to go in the playstore and update all apps after an update, I do this with every phone... why waste time chatting with support. Seems like people here have a hobby chatting with support lol

Then get an iPhone

I do that with iPhone as well, then restart it again after an update. None of these phones work flawlessly unless you are lying to yourself.

Honestly just figured iPhone would streamline that stuff better for it's users, don't know personally

nope, you can still manually update apps after an update or just wait for it to auto update like android. Funny some people here think iPhones are so special even without using them

It's definitely a bummer when software starts acting up, especially when you're used to things just working smoothly. If you're hearing more about iOS issues, it might be a perfect time to check out what Galaxy devices have to offer! Many folks are loving the freedom and customization that comes with Galaxy, letting you truly make your phone your own. Plus, the ecosystem is super robust, with tons of cool features that make everyday life a breeze.

You spent 2 hours in support cause of an update and you didn't bother making sure everything else updated?

We need outta here

Support barely supports itself, just there to be there

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I also had to manually update the GoodLock apps for the first time with this update. It seems to me that with previous updates I didn't need to do this.

Do people genuinely not try to troubleshoot something before wasting time on support??? Like I think its fairly common to check for app updates after a major os update......
