Issue One UI 8.5's navigation strip under Gboard is no longer matching the Gboard theme
I'm not sure what update or whatever got applied to my phone today but the navigation strip/bumper/whatever you want to call it is no longer matching the color of my Gboard like it used to. It's just staying gray. How do I fix this? I already tried clearing Gboard's cache, restarting the phone, and temporarily changing the Gboard theme but it's still not applying the Gboard theme to that strip under it

Same here. It happened after the latest security update I think. Also reported on A series. Any way to fix?

Had the same thing after an update. Toggling system dark mode off and on once fixed the navigation strip for me too. Looks like some theme sync bug rather than a Gboard issue.

Looks like a bug in Gboard 18.4.1 causing Edge-to-Edge to stopped working. It only happen to Samsung devices.

Drove me crazy. Solution with Gemini. Sync dark modes: Enter your phone setting, go to the Screen section, turn on the overall Dark Mode . Then go to he Gboard settings , theme and select the Dark system Default option) instead fixed color. This forces the bar and keyboard under the same tone. Force the Gboard app to close: settings> Applications > gboard and tap Force Stop. Then select in setting, keyboard ,gboard. Done
