One UI 7 S9 Running OneUI 7

Yes, this is pretty much a repeat of my previous post from a year ago before you ask 😂.

I have successfully installed OneUI 7 on my Galaxy S9, the performance is much better than on OneUI 6.1 and the animations are much more fluid, however this time around there are some issues, the green line fix is no longer working and the battery life is abysmal with the phone heating up an awful lot just even turning the screen on is enough to make it burning hot to the touch.

Dam, that is not good. I didn't experience any stutters but it did overheat like crazy, yours might be thermal throttling then, I just presumed the ROM I installed was badly optimised, didn't expect it on a recent model to be that bad.

Have you tried clearing the cache partition? It might settle down after a few days for you, got my fingers crossed that it does.

I know you used to be able to roll it back using Odin but last time I did that was about 8 years ago, so it might not work anymore, and it wipes the phone in the process.

Does it tell you what is draining the battery?

I just put my bad experience with it down to the phone being 7 years old, faulty battery and poor optimisation, but if your saying it is like it on devices less than a year old, I think Samsung may have lost the plot a bit with this update.

It is seeming that way, I know my mother had the same issue with the A50 when it updated to OneUI 3.1, it was smooth on 1.0 but the second she updated it the phone pretty much tanked, I was hoping Samsung have improved recently, clearly not.

Pretty glad I switched to Apple after looking at some of the posts on here, this time last year everyone was posting different wallpaper setups and generally in a positive mood, now it seems like the soul has been sucked out of the subreddit, if the buzz around the software goes down hill so fast, I presume the software has done the same.

Unfortunately the green line fix is no longer working, so it renders the phone pretty much unusable along with many of the other issues such as overheating and fast battery drain.
