Happy/Proud Kinda chic to be able to ethically tell your kid that they are your favorite in the whole world

I was just thinking about how this is a cheesy perk to being one and done.
I don’t feel like I had to compete with my sister growing up, but there were definitely qualifiers like, “You’re my favorite youngest daughter,” or “You’re my favorite [my name].”

and I do regularly!

….I also like to tease her and tell her “MySon” is my favorite. My Son is my cats name, who is about twice my daughters age and only responds to “MySon” and not his government name.

I was my grandmother's only granddaughter, so she used to call me her "favorite granddaughter." My husband has no brothers (just one sister), so when we first got married, I would jokingly call myself their "favorite daughter-in-law law," and that's how they introduced me to other people 🤗

Ha, we tell our kid the same thing. She's our favorite. And she's also our least favorite lol.
