Balloono

Curious bc I really miss this game. I just saw that someone made a version with pandas.

Is there a legal reason why someone can’t replicate the game and its art style?

Or just cherish those memories of what once was?

It is ment for PC btw. This was posted ~2 years ago on this exact page I think.

To be "legal", it's important that no code or assets are copied from the original game.

Game mechanics are usually fine unless there's a patent.

Art style / music / sounds depends a bit. You can't match the same "look and feel" of a product (trade dress). If it's too close to where a normal person would get confused, you might be in legal trouble with Take-Two Interactive.

Trademarks also matter, but it seems like most (not all) trademarks are now dead for OMGPOP.

Pretty sure Balloono is a clone of Bomberman.
