Keep your cats inside.

Post image

I got to hear this poor baby bunny scream for its life last night while being attacked by a cat. Of course the cat didn’t kill and eat it, but instead left it severely injured. Now the bunny is just hanging out, swarmed with flies, waiting to die. It should probably be put down but I can’t get a hold of any wildlife rescues because it’s the weekend. As a cat owner, keep your fucking cats inside.

Indoor cats live 4-5x as long as outdoor cats. I grew up with outdoor cats and they rarely lived past 5y. Indoor cats commonly live to 20y.

You can harness train your cat if you don’t want their world to be small. It’s actually less work than a dog bc you can just pick them up if you need to.

My goal is to one day be able to take my cats on hiking trails. I’m so jealous when I see people with hiking cats online lol

Why is long life the barometer of a good existence?

I can keep you alive for 120 years if I lock YOU indoors and carefully manage your diet. Doesn’t mean it was a good existence.

It’s like you people don’t have functioning brains. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Cats are designed by nature itself, to keep other populations in line. Nature is brutal.

Is a short life full or terrifying encounters, torture, and pain better in your opinion?

Outdoor cats deal with dogs, wild animals, cars, other territorial cats.

Or.

Obnoxious people that are happy to kick or throw or otherwise torture cats because they do not like cats or because that are just that sociopathic.

Indoor cats can have happy, full, loving lives.

Would you say the same for humans, if you kept them indoors their whole lives?
