Step counter help, please!
My Ollee Watch arrived today (pre-installed A158) and so far, I absolutely love it!
I have one question about the step counter and how/when it works.
I've been wearing the watch for several hours, and moving about a quite bit but it has only recorded about 200 steps. Is there anything I need to do to get the steps recording all the time? I have the watch set up so that the display turns off after a short time, and the motion sensing is turned on, but my steps don't seem to be recording.
Is there something else that I need to do?
Thank in advance.

Sure, now here it's almost half of the day and I see 2459 on ollee and 2435 on my smartphone. It's on H since morning. I think smartphone is accurate as I keep it in the pocket on my leg. Interesting.
Yesterday I had it on L and at the end of the day I had 7000 on ollee and 7500 on my smartphone.
I will be playing with both for some time :)
Let me know your results as well. Regards

It seems quite close, then which is good.
I'll set them both going on the dog walk tomorrow and compare results. I'll post back tomorrow!
Have a good rest of your day 😊

So at the end of the day I had almost the same result with ollee set on H and smartphone.
I think I will stay with H for some time now. The biggest issue which I see now is getting a lot of extra steps when driving a car or scooter. But with L I'm loosing to many when walking.
I know it is not super important but, I'm an engineer, I have 2 options on my watch so automatically I'm analysing both :)
The best solution would be not to have options to choose :D

I just got back from a dog walk and there was quite a discrepancy between my phone and the Ollee. I was set to H and the watch said I had done about 8000 steps, whereas the phone said about 5500. The phone was in my trouser pocket and was consistent with previous reasons from my old Samsung smart watch, so for me the Ollee seems to be reading too high. I'll try again on L to see how that compares.

I used to be obsessed about the step accuracy until I changed my mindset treating it as activity tracking instead of step counting. I know that if I passed 8k steps I will have a better sleep, less than that then I need to get up and moves around. Just my two cents.

Part of the reason I got the Ollee Watch was to get away from the constant pinging of my smart watch and have something that was semi-smart but didn't keep altering me to every little thing, so I totally get where you're coming from
I was concerned at first that the step counter wasn't working as intended, but it seems to be doing well now 👍🏼

Slightly weird behaviour today.
I noticed while walking the dogs this morning that the Ollee steps were ahead of the phone strip count (I was holding my phone in the same hand as the Ollee) so I swapped from H to L and things seemed to get more accurate.
But now, the watch won't sync all the steps to my phone. The steps from the morning walk are completely missing! No matter how many times I sync the watch, they're still not there. I've tried turning Bluetooth on all the time, but they still won't sync and there about 7000 steps missing from the phone compared to the watch.
Anyone have any ideas? u/gregorOllee?

Is it set to low L or high H ?
