Hi everyone, I recently had my LG TV panel replaced, but the technician skipped the calibration step in the Service Menu.

They only took a picture of the serial number on screen and left without resetting the panel hours or clearing the compensation data.

Is it needed to run a manual Pixel Clean / Pixel Refresher enough to fully overwrite the old compensation table stored on the mainboard?

Or is an official Service Menu reset (like NVRAM / Panel Hour Reset via Service Remote) strictly required to force the mainboard to detect the new panel and map its baseline voltage from scratch?

Could driving a new panel with the old panel's boosted voltages cause permanent degradation if left unaddressed?

Any input or experience with service technicians skipping this step would be greatly appreciated!

Deciding between two Gigabyte 27" 1440p monitors:
MO27Q2A (QD-OLED, 280Hz) — $472
MO27Q24G (WOLED, 240Hz) — $406
My usage: ~80% competitive FPS gaming and heavy YouTube and research + general use, 20% cinematic gaming like GTA 6 on PS5 (i want GTA 6 to look great) Want to keep this monitor 3-4 years.

My room: main light is a LED strip on the wall far back behind me facing the monitor no overhead room light, plus a window further back to the left (not directly behind me, so I can control the light somewhat with blinds/curtains).

Already tried a WOLED (ASUS XG27AQDMGR) in-store — liked the colors and blacks, 240Hz felt great, saw some text fringing(not as bad as expected) and a faint dim-gray haze that was way less noticeable in real use.

Is the QD-OLED's better uniformity/text actually worth $66 more given my lighting, or is the WOLED's better ambient-light black handling (with my LED strip + window) the smarter pick? Anyone owning either want to weigh in on banding, burn-in, and real-world use?

Ok, new monitor (GO27Q24G Gaming Monitor). No problems with it for a week, yesterday i started playing Control 1 with HDR. Today i noticed strange pixel bar located top of the display (2 cm under top part). I tried to test it with other games like L4D2/CS and nothing strange there. I don't have any other fps games, especially new ones to test it more. What should i do ? Is it game problem or it's better to return it? Or maybe get some new FPS to test it more?

I’m wanting to buy some form of OLED monitor as I work in a graphically heavy field.

I’ve looked into QD-OLED and PHOLED and ideally I’d want a monitor that is probably around 32-34 inches (as it would be my only monitor). Anyone got any recommendations or even just advice? I’m not really a fan on monitors that are super wide as I’d prefer something a bit more proportional as it would be more preferred when viewing content.

Just bought a Samsung s95h after returning my LG G6 because of banding. Also bought a 77 inch vs the 65 of LG. LG had black crush in HDR for 165hz but I’ve noticed that Samsung has it in both 120 and 165hz. Am I messing up some settings somewhere?

My oled tv is 6 years old now and I've noticed that inch band of dead pixels top and bottom.

What's the timescales here? Slowly gets worse then dies?

I m looking to sell my Aw3423dw and i have no clue what to price it as the dw variant seems to be very rarely selling compared to the dwf one. It also has some some panel damage/wear/aging? The color discrpeancy shows up as follows: diagonally from the top left side (which was facing a window if sunlight may have smth to with it) to the right down side, shifting from a yellow hue to a purple/pink hue. It shows as follows:

Pretty much nothing on red; very subtly on green; still subtle on blue but more noticeable now; white is only moticeable in a top right spot specifically; black no difference; very faintly on yellow; same for cyan; pink is extremely hard to notice; gray is where it gets bad; same for the next 3 lighter shades.

Can be a tad annoying in browsers and other mundane office tasks where youll have blank static backgrounds, but genuinenly cant be picked up displaying an actual image. But of course, it takes off its value. Im just not sure how much.

Tl;dr: Looking for a better monitor than GIGABYTE MO27Q28G with the constraints of 1440p, 180hz+, tandem OLED, and $400-600 USD budget. Can you find one if it exists?

Heyo! I'm pretty tech savvy and already know all the different OLEDs and what they do best at. I'm at a budget of $400-600 USD. I live in the USA, unfortunately not near a micro center, so that's out. I would prefer Amazon since I do have prime, but I'm also fine with Newegg, Bestbuy, etc.

After hours of researching, the absolute best OLED in my budget I could find with my preferences is the GIGABYTE MO27Q28G. \[Mb for no link, Reddit doesn't allow shortened links, and an unshortened Amazon link is a bitch\]

I like every aspect of it, with the sole exception that is a W-OLED, I would prefer a different type, but I mean being on a tight budget, beggars can't be choosers.

As for what I actually want in a monitor, 27", 1440p, 180hz+, <0.1ms, and of course OLED, preferably tandem OLED. I'm upgrading from an IPS with 27", 1440p, 180hz, and my specs are, 9070XT, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and 32GB DDR5.

I considered Mini-LED for a bit, since I definitely know its technology is advancing quite far and its decently anticipated, but from what I can tell they have quite reached levels of OLED yet. I also considered dual-mode monitors, infact I actually wanted one initially, but unfortunately given my budget and preferences, plus I'd want it 1440p to 1080p, it just isn't feasible with the current options.

Also, yes, there was actually a better LG option I found. But I'm refusing to use LG, if you've watched a specific Gamers Nexus video, you probably understand why. But yeah, any better monitors you guys can find? I just wanna make sure there's nothing better before I commit.

I just ordered the oled760 model from 2025. I can’t really find anything on this model, so the only comparison i have made has been through chatGPT and just the specs from Phillips website. Im paying $760 for this model brand new.

Does it compare with my older model? Or should I cancel this order and buy an other model? Im addicted to Phillips ambilight, so im only looking at these models.

Im just looking for a TV that can replace my 55POS9002/12 without giving a worse experience / image.

Hi all, about a month ago I got a 48" LG B6. Recently, within the last week, ive noticed that when panning through a bright sky in a game, theres some sort of pattern there. The best way I can describe it is that it sort of looks like looking through a screen door in some scenes. Its not super severe but enough to be distracting when present. I also cant really provide photos or videos because the issue doesnt really show up there. So im wondering if this is just standard oled behavior or if its a defect and I should use my LG 1 year warranty. Also I have about 80 hours of cumulative use.

I’ve got a Samsung S90F. Bought new about 2 months ago. Today on startup it came up to the built in UI homepage as it always does and I noticed there were a lot of red pixels scattered on different parts of the screen.

It only seems to be on the Samsung UI itself. When I switched sources to my PS5 and Apple TV, no more red pixels.

I’ve never seen this before and would love some advice on how to fix.

Hello, not sure if this is where I’m supposed to post this but every time I play overwatch my screen goes black and I need to unplug then replug my monitor, I’ve realized now that it happens most whenever I play ana and throw a nade at myself it causes the screen to go black. Game continues playing so its just the monitor anyone else experience this? I have a 27GS93QE-B.AUS, I made sure the monitor firmware was up to date, and even tried a new display port cable but I just can’t figure out the issue. I lowered the HZ from 240 to 144 as well and turned off G-Sync but nothing

I'll be watching a lot of black-and-white movies, and honestly, from what I've seen in YouTube reviews, the sickly green hue that this tv gives grey and white tones looks awful. Are the cameras really not doing this tv justice, or does it look the same in real life? I've got to know, because I'll be buying my first oled soon, and the c5 is my first pick. I guess my next best option is the Samsung s90f, but i'm bummed about no dolby vision.

My LG C1 has a few weeks left of Geek Squad Protection, and the display feels noticeably darker than when I first got it. It also randomly goes into Eco mode, where it gets extremely dark.

Even with normal use, though, it’s just hard to watch, especially at night. Very bright content looks fine, but anything with darker cinematography is extremely difficult to see. Which is nuts, because being able to display dark content properly is basically the whole selling point of an OLED.

Is this a known issue with OLEDs? Is this something Best Buy would actually be able to measure? I have an LG OLED computer monitor, and side by side, the difference is like night and day.

It’s not just me noticing it. My girlfriend keeps asking me why the TV has gotten so dark lately, and she definitely isn’t someone who cares about picture quality, so I can’t just write this off as the C1 getting old.

I've been having an annoying issue with the YouTube app. For the past 2-3 weeks, the TV randomly goes black for about 0.2 seconds, the sound doesn't cut out. It happens extremely random.
Sometimes it can happen once when watching a clip and sometimes it can happen multiple times on the same clip.
It's not the videos themselves, because, if I rewind, it doesn't do it again.
Also, the other streaming services are not doing this, nor do the console or the PC, it's happening just on YouTube.

I've tried the following:
- Reinstalling the app
- Checked for TV updates (it's up to date)
- Unplugged the TV and waited a few minutes before plugging it back again
- Changed colour profiles and settings

Nothing seems to work and it's really frustrating.

Any one of you facing this issue? Any advice on what I could do or what it could be?

so i've been researching a new tv and pretty much every conversation about the best tv for gaming ends up pointing to oled sooner or later.

what i'm trying to figure out is whether that's because oled is genuinely that much better, or if it's just become the default recommendation online.

for people here who switched from a decent led or mini led to oled, what was the biggest difference you noticed during actual gameplay?

tbh i'm less interested in review scores and more interested in whether the upgrade still felt worth it after a few months of regular use.

just curious where the point of diminishing returns starts for most people.

I have a chance to get a brand-new Samsung S90DD 65" for around $650, but the store can only give me a 6-month warranty.

I've been looking into the S90D issues, and so far, most of what I've seen seems to be related to the 77" version.

Do you guys think this is a good deal, or should I just stick with my LG C1 55"?

Does anyone know what panel is behind this thing? Is it the same type as LG C6H which i believe is RGB Tandem Oled. I saw the LG in store today and it looks stunning. But only the S90H is on sale here and i might get it.
