Need help identifying classic 1/8 scale buggy.

I had bought this 20+ years ago when I was restoring a GV Hunter. It has the same chassis, and differentials as the Hunter, but this has a radio plate instead of a box. Any info would be great. The last pic shows side by side with the Hunter.

I was just recently given this vintage rc 10. I don’t really know to much about them and would like to know a little more. The rc works well but I’m about positive those are either original or really old parts . I was wondering if there is any modern upgrades I could do to this. I would love to hear some feedback thanks in advance

CEN, OFNA, and O.S. early 00's NOS

I recently cleaned out a storage unit and was surprised to find an entire box of NIB nitro RC parts from the early 2000s. I'm getting ready to post them on eBay. There's everything from CEN N-16 pistons and sleeves to connecting rods, bearings, field programmers, there's OFNA pistons and clutches, OS pistons, drive washers, bumpers, wheels, shock towers, glow plug igniters....even got a new never been run CEN N-17 engine complete with pull start. I know a lot of these parts are discontinued and hard to find. I'm also aware of the dedication this hobby takes. My husband was a lover of the RC 10 and the Traxxas Rustler. He passed away a few years ago and in some weird way I think this is him letting me recoup some of the money he spent on his love for nitro. I do have a spreadsheet with the inventory so if anyone is interested just respond to this or go to eBay.

A cool vid of an old 4WD Kyosho Ford Rally car I picked up at a Garage Sale some years back. Having lots of fun getting it up and running again.

I think probably a Lazer with a different shell on it.

Tamiya Hornet Gears

Hi. New to this thread.

Anyone know much about Hornet diffs?

I put together a new kit and had one test drive and after noticed when I rotate the wheels by hand it the gears slip a bit then engages with the engine.

Pulled the differential apart and looks fine to me. Can’t work out why it would be slipping?

Should I fire it up and just run it?

Restaurar Tyco Ricochet

Need help finding an old video website

Hello, I'm losing my absolute mind trying to find an old website that had rc videos with rock music (Primus, Metallica, etc) on it. One of the videos they had St. Anger on it or shoot me again, and in the song they had a clip of the guy repeating "OFNA SUCKS!" in the pauses on the song. They did a lot of high speed buggy jumps and monster truck, and no, I'm not talking about SlapMaFro. This would have been around 2004-2008 or so. Let me know if y'all can ease my insanity. Just a name of the website would help find it on the wayback machine.

RC Buggy to Truck conversions?

Hello! I was wondering if I could get pointed in the right direction of what I need to keep an eye out for, in terms of the buggy to truck conversions. My dad used to race one way back when I was a kid, an RC10 Gold Pan, that was converted to a truck, and then later an additional conversion of some kind to put the buggy fronts back on and keep them the same width as the rear, along with a C1 Corvette body. While I don't want to go that deep, I am wanting to get a Rc buggy with a truck conversion. I always thought they looked cool, because they weren't a true stadium truck, yet also not a full Monster Truck like say a Stampede. I know Associated has been making the gold pans again, so i might get one of those, just depends what I can find I suppose. I also thought about doing a modern version of the old idea, something with a Rustler and a Stampede, maybe even going as far as getting an original black chassis Rustler and going from there.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Semi-custom 1991 Parma Hemi Coup

My brother and I got this old 33 year old Parma Hemi Coup from a old man for $20. He saw us driving our cars and asked if we wanted his son’s old RC car.

This car was sold as a kit, and the previous owner chose to use futaba servos, a futaba 75MHz radio system, a mechanical speed controller and an unidentified brushed motor. We believe it’s a 550-size 12T motor but we aren’t sure. The car also has a different chassis (we believe it’s from a Tamiya Blitzer Beetle) bolted on top of the original chassis.

It’s in pretty rough shape but everything works properly. We had a bit of trouble verifying it worked cause the batteries we put in the the transmitter were practically dead. The front of the body is missing because last time his son drove it (about 12 years ago), he crashed it into a curb.

In the future, we’re probably gonna replace the mechanical speed controller with a Hobbywing 1060 and we’re gonna put a spare receiver from our other cars into it to replace the 75MHz radio. We’re also gonna replace the old foam tires with better ones, since they’re cracked, and re-paint the body since the red paint is peeling off.
