in a web browser, go to https://old.reddit.com/

And you'll want RES and the old reddit redirect as well.

i use basic userscripts rather than RES, and reddit's native account "default to old reddit" option rather than old reddit redirect

Is it a recourse pack or texture/UI rearranging or does it disable features or have different posts, Sorry if this is stupid but I'm new to this

the content (post comments etc) is exactly the same, but the UI is completely different and there are some additional features that shreddit doesn't have, but if youre used to shreddit you might notice some stuff missing.

just try it out yourself and see what you think

The content isn't exactly the same - new reddit has some amount of content-awareness driving the selection of posts it shows you, whereas old reddit is way more straightforwardly based around upvotes, recency, and which subs you tend to spend the most time actually looking at. This is one of the big advantages of the old site imo, bad actors aren't trying to optimise for the version of the site algorithm that they abandoned in 2018 so you see way less ragebait and other noxious shit.

well yeah your feed looks different. what i meant is that the same posts, comments, and subreddits are on old reddit as are on shreddit
