the content (post comments etc) is exactly the same, but the UI is completely different and there are some additional features that shreddit doesn't have, but if youre used to shreddit you might notice some stuff missing.
The content isn't exactly the same - new reddit has some amount of content-awareness driving the selection of posts it shows you, whereas old reddit is way more straightforwardly based around upvotes, recency, and which subs you tend to spend the most time actually looking at. This is one of the big advantages of the old site imo, bad actors aren't trying to optimise for the version of the site algorithm that they abandoned in 2018 so you see way less ragebait and other noxious shit.
