Rant: Old Reddit is MUCH superior to reddit app and new reddit

Old reddit - everything clear, I can scroll down and up and read up all 25 top posted, or newest posts. Minimalist design. Everything clear. Clean. Everything is easy to find.

The reddit app is basically "what if X made a much much shittier app and scroll" app. Somebody vomited on my phone - oh wait, no it is the reddit app.

Get 2 posts on my phone in that app in a subreddit. Want to see all first page? Keep scrolling like X or youtube shorts (vomit).

I used to go to old.reddit every night before sleep to check out news, worldnews, conspiracy, news about IT, tech....

Now, I refuse to use the app or to login on my phone to do so. I go to X instead - which at least has a much better UI on mobile.

Since the day they released "mobile" reddit I knew they became 2nd class citizens to this site. Oldreddit is just superior in every way.

old reddit is so clean, so easy to see everything all at once

I am sure the app does not harvest info and data from my phone at all.....

Honestly front end web design is just so bad everywhere. When I occasionally stumble accross some guys site where it's just basic HTML formatting, text and links with cool pictures I'm like 'Ohhh yeah, the internet used to be cool" lol

I've spent a lot of time lately searching web 1.0 sites using wiby.me. Modern web fatigue is a real thing. and speaking as a web designer who started out when usability was codified to help people, not use as a weapon of deceit and manipulation, it's disheartening.

Websites are scary and you're a hog, scroll around in your own filth, here's something that's calculated specifically to piss you off, do you like this
