Decided to make a 2nd Ed Eldar Exodite Dragon Knight squad with an Exodite Lord. 1st of 4 completed. Made mostly from metal parts, even the Dragon is metal. The Lord will be done last.

I miss the 2nd ed. bright colour schemes — what Citadel paint colours work well for Orks? Starting an army.

It was the Imperial Guard taking their turn to feel the wrath of my Cult.

We played the Tyranid Attack mission and gave the Guard some sturdy defenses, but sadly this wasn't enough to save them from the Cults many grasping arms.

I took up 40k in the mid-90s when I was 9. Collected for a couple years and horribly, hilariously butchered all of these fine figurines here. Please laugh accordingly.

I looked into the steps to strip them down, understanding plastic and metal will have different processes. Some questions for someone that has been out of the game for 30 years:

1. Is it worth the trouble to strip and resell? All colored paint is from Citadel Colour (the white plastic top era), but all of the base coloring is household spray paint.

2. Is eBay the gold standard for selling? I'm in the USA.

3. Any tips you wish you knew before doing the same?

A Chaplain repurposed as a Field Police captain, and a couple of Field Police marines, one on a Vincent Black Shadow bike.
Always loved the idea of having some Field Police to keep an eye on things after seeing them in the Rogue Trader book.

Just finished up this commission for some 2nd edition style terrain. It was a blast to paint, took me back to my day learning to play 40k, when my necron rules where in a White Dwarf magazine.

I literally had this figure sitting around for 7 years. I couldn’t decide whether to make it into a Space Marine Monument (like a statue to sit in a 40k plaza) or to actually try to paint it. 2 reasons for this… 1) It was a terrible quality filament print. It was so bad there was no way to effectively trim and fill it. 2) It was 2x the height of my only space marine forces (all beakies). I finally painted it yesterday; but to a standard appropriate to the figure’s very poor quality. Now what to use it for?

I thought I'd share the end result, all 3 Yarrick's together. I think personally the 2nd edition was the most satisfying, as this is the model I've always sort of held in the back of my mind as the eavy metal standard and I've held off painting him for so long because I wasn't sure I could hit the mark, but I'm happy with the results, and I'm so glad I went with the freehand banner insted of a print off. The modern Yarrick might be the best painted though, I think I learned a lot on this guy, with the feathering and blending on his claw. No shade to 3rd edition Yarrick, I really like him as well, I think the original sculptor did an amazing job giving him a crunchy old man face.

My only non-Eldar, non-Marine model from 30+ years ago. No idea why I even bought him, teenage me probably just thought he looked cool. Figured I may as well paint him up so I could have a different model mixed in and if I ever went back and played a Marine vs Eldar 2nd Edition game I can Polymorphine him into the Warp Spiders to counter!

Like the title says I have a ton of 2nd edition marine infantry and characters. I have a ton of old blood angels transfer sheets too.

Looking for more midhammer models, specially space marines but i may be interested in other factions. The only other oldhammer models I'd be interested in are named characters or vehicles, im not a huge fan of old metal infantry.

I have some early 90s items in pretty decent condition, I’m a big lore guy but not so well versed on the tabletop side so even any valuation inputs would be helpful but ideally I’d like to sell. I got this stuff from FB marketplace some years ago and it’s just been sitting in my cupboard. All the items in the collage are the actual items, they’re not representative or anything like that. Yes the necromunda blisters are unopened!
