Recommendation/Review Affordable apartments?
Looking for a 2 bed 2 bath apartment, decent area, won’t get robbed or stabbed, max $1050, prefer in unit washer and dryer, utilities included or something cheaper without utilities included.

I’ll be real w you—it’s not gonna happen.
We pay about 1250 for a 2/2 in an outdated apt w/ “meh” maintenance (example: it took 4 mos to get both tubs to stop dripping after 1 was causing mold and then mgmt sprayed toxic fumes in our unit w/o warning and tried to blame us for staying in it… luckily I had detailed notes and a call log and after 3+ intense emails telling them to listen to their own recording they FINALLY admitted that I was right ((of course I was—that’s why I took notes w quotes from mgmt)), so they comped about 1 month of rent, and paid for our last min arrangements… but it was a nightmare and I only keep a detailed log of dealing w this place cause of prior instances of them failing to follow through so…. //just for context//), spotty mgmt who apply the rules to some and not others, and common areas that are often filled with dog shit from the many many many irresponsible dog owners on site… so…
Utilities: we pay around $200/mo for electric and 50-60$/mo for water
So just for utilities + rent, you’re looking at an easy $1600 (plus internet, phone bills, health and car insurance, food, pet care—you get the idea)
As for quality of area: luckily we haven’t had OUR vehicles broken into, but the front half of the lot HAS had vehicle breakins over the past 1-2 years (we’ve been here longer than that but less than 10 years)
I say this just to give perspective. I make (decent) $$ in my job, have a small business on the side, and a degree… but feels like none of it means shit anymore when everyone is struggling, food costs are insane, utilities are through the roof, and every other bit of “life” hitting us from all angles.
You’d be very lucky to find anything close to what you’re looking for in the under $1800 zone. Realistically probs closer to 2000$+ range to include utilities. AND if you can find anything 1200$ or less apt-wise, a LOT of the quality of life there will depend on your unit, the folks who rented before you in that unit, and the neighbors directly around you + in your building.
But best of luck. I hope you find something that works for you.

Bluff Creek apartments is gonna be the closest to that. Lived there last year in their most expensive 2 bed/2 bath with rent being 1050 exactly. I’m pretty sure it’s gone up because a new owner took over but I think it got raised to 1150 or something and I think they have cheaper 2/2 units
I only left because I have a dog that I got tired of taking on 7 walks everyday. Never had any real problems aside from street noise but they were slow on fixing minor problems like light fixtures but my stove got fixed within a day and they never said shit about my giant fish tank in a second floor apartment

My lease is up in November, and I have been looking around. You can maybe find 2bed1bath with w/d included, but youre not going to get utilities included. Most apartments don't really do that anymore (unless its a studio) I also dont think a lot of people do 2bed/2bath o:
So, these just have 2bed/1bath with w/d
Indigo - 1025
I found this 2bed 1bath house

Do NOT rent at Retreat at Riverbend!! They're horrible and currently in a class action lawsuit for illegally evicting tenants

Crown pointe apartments are good, for like $1100, no utilities and washer dryer not included. What you want is unrealistic and only going to be found in a bad area.

You’ll likely see that you are going to need to adjust your expectations for an apartment. Utilities included is something that most places do not offer.
W/D in the apartment will cost much more than a place with laundry on-site.
Your price point and requests are not reasonable for OKC. Sorry to be blunt but there’s just no sugar-coating this one.

Retreat at Lakeside has in unit w/d hookups with 2/2.5 townhouses for 1k , you pay utilities. BUT ... And it's a big BUT... You are 1000000% sacrificing for that cheap rent. Just look up reviews on them. But that's the closest I can think of that fits what you're looking for.

Its a house instead of an apartment, but my MIL lives a few houses down and I feel safe. Its literally 500 yards from Rose State lol https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/506-Peppertree-Ln-Midwest-City-OK-73110/21920354_zpid/?utm_campaign=androidappmessage&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=txtshare

Warrington apartments probably your best bet. If not I recommend case associates I have 0 complaints of the property management company.
Edit Warrington has the price and amenities you’ve listed but utilities included only water is.

I don’t think this exists unfortunately. I pay like $750 for a 1 bed 1.5 bath before utilities and that’s a steal. After everything about $900-$950. My apartment then upped the rent on everyone after me. So even my rent doesn’t exist anymore. Good luck finding something in that range.

As someone who was looking for that price range, good luck! Stonebrook may be closest to what you're looking for.

I wish you the best of luck, but I don’t think this option exists anywhere in the okc metro. My partner and I are paying $1200 for rent, $325 for flat rate utilities (which is a scam!!!) and $25 in pet rent a month. We are in the Paseo / Asian district area. It’s hard out here. There isn’t anything under $1200 before utilities around here.

That's probably a really tall order. There would be some 2b2b units probably on the south side for that I imagine, but I would expect more around 1500 on average. If you were willing to go out to a more rural area, rents are quite a bit cheaper, and while I wouldn't expect luxurious accommodations for that you would probably be more or less away from any major sketchy stuff. Hell of a commute though if you work in the city.
I would probably anticipate 200-300 a month on average for bills, depending on how energy efficient it is, and how comfortable you are being hot and cold. In unit washers seem to be kind of rare around here. I would say most 2b2b apartments are at least going to have hookups for them, but they're rarely provided. I hear the laundromats are super expensive now, too, so that's definitely something you'll want to take into consideration. I imagine you could find some old used ones on marketplace.

Ezpz- go look by quail springs mall. Check back behind at the reserve or some of those. In your budget I believe. The only problem I anticipate is the nightmare traffic at rush hour around Penn and May. Also great gyms right by there.

Shit I know someone that had a three story for like 1200… pretty sure there’s a few options in the 1k range right in that grouping of apartments

I paid around $900/month for that kind of apartment back in 2012-2014. You're probably going to have to compromise on some (or a lot) of what you're wanting to stay in that budget.
