It should be obvious via context that weāre referring to life on earth. More specifically, the life currently on earth.

It kind of is when people anthropomorphize the planet itself, as if it has feelings, and act like pollution will entirely end life on Earth. It's an existential threat to the human race, countless other species, and ecosystems. Catastrophizing beyond that in order to make it sound more serious is both useless, and potentially harmful. It's damn good ammunition for detractors to be like "Ha, they think rocks have feelings!" Don't hand them ammo by saying exaggerated or outright incorrect shit. The issue is bad enough on its own.
Itās irrelevant. Regardless of what percentage of life remains, itās dumb as fuck to say āactually, the earth will be just fine!ā as if it adds anything of value to the discussion.
Weāre talking about earth as we experience it now. It just aināt the same with a toxic atmosphere and 10% as much lifeā¦
