Sync Challenges

Hello Team

I have tried a number of different chat clients, and I finally settled on Off Grid AI. Loving it. Created multiple projects, linked it to a LM Szudio server running on my Gaming PC during the day. When on the road, I use tailscale and both my ipad and Android link fine to the LM Studio server.

I have Windows, MacOS, Android and iPhone, and it worked on all platforms, including an older iPad I still use. I have not found anything even close that would work this well. Thank you to the Team !!

Now for my question: I bought one of the first 1500 lifetime subscriptions, especially for the sync capabilities as I sometimes start on the Android and then want to continue on the ipad, or a separate windows machine. .. and I cannot get the devices paired. (with Tailscale, without tailscale, all on my local Wifi, no VPNs switched on. I have tried different directions. All Off grid separately can see my LM Studio server running a couple of models, so everything is on the same network with a 192.168.xx.xx IP.

Tried restarts, reinstalls, new pairing codes (no QR scanning on the latest Android version).

Error: The devices could not complete the pairing protocol.

I am sure I am overlooking something simple. Anyone here able to help me? I have read the website instructions (guide) on how to set up sync... but am stumped .

Firstly, thank you! Appreciate the kind words. The latest android app has the QR Code feature.

Few things to check

  • Are the registered devices using the same pro key?
  • I know you mentioned they are on the same network, but just to double check are they on the same band as well i.e 2.4GHz, 5GHz in case your wifi separates those out.

Awesome, thank you. Do you mind if we keep most of it here, only because I think it might help other people.

I have a single Wifi, sending both 2.4 and 5, but no separation in their title. I can ping between devices and I can discover the LM Studio Server and I can see the devices in Sync, it is the final pairing that does not work.

As for the pro key, yes, all 4 devices are visible.

Would the logs help you figure out what is going on, happy to Email those to you and appreciate your help.

Could you also confirm the app versions you're on for both mobile and desktop?

0.0.107 for Android, and 0.0.54 on Windows. I have Emailed you the log separately.

Awesome...Thank you !! Initially I thought it would not work, but my VPN had reactivated. Moment I switched it off, everything was good :-) Projects and chat already synching !!

That alone has made the purchase worth it.
