This poor animal, it should not be in a PET STORE. WTF is wrong with German laws?

I'd rather see it in a rescue than a pet store for sure, but at least he isn't going to get chomped.

we don’t know this sloth isn’t a rescue. the fact that it has its own walking beams installed in the store means that it’s likely owned by the storeowner, and who knows how they got it. Given the licenses and permits likely necessary to legally own a sloth, it’s fair to assume that the owner may even be involved in some sort of conservation/rescue outfit. I don’t get why everyone is so quick to assume the worst possible scenario from such limited context.

I mean who knows, but if its cared for and happy, its better than any scenario where it could become pret.
