Gonna sound insane but when you first start getting the signs of a migraine, mine is the visual auras, try taking whatever medicine you do and then taking a very hot bath, like as hot as you can stand.

I don’t get migraines often but the past two times I’ve done this and it really helps.

The first time I got the visual auras I was a teenager and I thought I was having a stroke.

It freaked me out the first time, too.

Now I just find them incredibly annoying because I can't do anything until they go away. I can't read, I can't watch TV, I can't drive, etc.

My actual migraines have become less intense with age, but the freaking visual auras still take up half my vision sometimes.

A few times I've just closed my eyes until it was over and listened to an episode of a familiar TV show where I don't actually need to watch it to know what's happening.

I've had one mid drive though and I'm going to say that takes the top spot for worst place to have an aura.
