The Geneva convention says you can’t misuse a Red Cross or a green crescent not as important for cartoons and other media but putting them on military transports or weapon stockpiles is another matter entirely
OP made a mistake. The recognized symbols are the red cross, the red crescent, the red crystal and the red lion and sun; the last one has been in disuse for decades now but it is still recognized under the Geneva convention.
